  1. Man, I hope this kid is a walk-on. He doesnt look like a D1 player to me. Not even close.
  2. Just verballed to Syracuse.
  3. He just committed to Louisville a few minutes ago.
  4. http://sports.yahoo.com/footballrecruiting/football/recruiting/player-Scott-Boyett-146025;_ylt=Alt2Qy0hQPheHbOFnfdL9lRDPZB4 http://247sports.com/Player/Scott-Boyett-7312 Rivals and 247 are reporting that Scott Boyett verballed. He is a 3 star OL.
  5. I saw that Purdue just offered him yesterday.
  6. 247 is predicting this kid will verbal with us. http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recr...t-Boyett-146025 http://247sports.com/Player/Scott-Boyett-7312
  7. I know where you are going with that. Who on this board ever said that was taboo? My issue was more with Buckley, not with schools in general doing this.
  8. http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recr...-Baggett-146344 http://247sports.com/Player/Jamal-Baggett-25264 http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1306027/jamal-baggett# He cancelled a visit with New Mexico and decided to take an official at Akron. He is down to us and Army, who he will be visiting this weekend.
  9. We knew about him last spring. I havent heard anything about any other transfers coming in.
  10. You are correct in that the class we do know about is impressive. I find it frightening because I dont see how we can continue to elevate our talent with a bunch of unknown guys. We had a fairly good idea of transfers last year. This year we dont know about anyone. I may be pleasantly surprised, but right now I am a little worried. We need to get to the point where our recruiting classes arent like this every year.
  11. This is either the worst or the most hushed up class in the country. We are a week away from signing day and we (to our knowledge) have about 1/3 of a class. Frightening.
  12. - The Minutemen visited Kyron Brown, a 2014 cornerback from Florida, on Thursday, according to the Palm Beach Post. It sounds like a UMass coach will be back to visit today. Maybe he is just taking advantage of the free trips?? I couldnt imagine him picking UMass over us.
  13. By Michael McCammon Cardinal Authority Date: Jan 26, 2014 Miami (Fla.) Killian cornerback Trumaine Washington was among the group that made an official visit with Louisville over the weekend. Washington, a one-time Akron commit, tells Cardinal Authority that he's likely headed to an ACC program. And from Rivals.... "It's high. It's going to come down Louisville and Syracuse, and I'm visiting Syracuse next weekend."
  14. He is now down to Syracuse, Duke and Georgia Tech. He is a gonner.
  15. I agree completely. I also like the fact that the MAC has continuously found the up and comers that have found success. I think the MAC can continue to be successful hiring the hungry young coaching talents wanting to make a name for themselves and not go after the often overrated BCS coordinators.

  17. I am not going to post the whole article because it is a premium one on rivals, but I will post the last 2 sentences.... Washington told rivals.com that he'll make a final decision after his two official visits to Louisville and Syracuse. "I'm still committed to Akron, but I'm going to take these last two visits and I'll have to see how I feel about everything. I'll announce a few days before signing day."

  19. Tommy Bowden had a heck of a year!
  20. However, I see T-Buck is at it again... Anthony Chiang‏@Anthony_ChiangJan 20 Louisville is expected to visit with 2014 Boynton Beach CB Kyron Brown and ATH Darrian Josey, a Hawaii commit, this week. #Louisville
  21. Potential good news here...from a Syracuse forum. Anthony Chiang ‏@Anthony_Chiang 6m Boynton Beach CB Kyron Brown, who was down to Syracuse & Akron, said Cuse may be out of race. He has not been able to reach #Cuse coaches. Well that answers that.
  22. The crazy thing about recruiting is that you never know how things will end up until the faxes roll in. I wouldnt be completely shocked if our verbals that are "looking elsewhere" decide to stay with us.
  23. I understand that, but we need more than a few good players to catch up to other schools in the talent dept. Also, it is hard to get excited about wasting a scholarship on a longsnapper. I feel like Browns fan when we drafted Ryan Pontbriand.
