  1. Kind of the same way we ripped off Fear the Turtle?
  2. Well, by my clock says it is 5:45 pm on Saturday. Today I received a call from a source saying "hey check out Lee Jackson Field." So I cruise on over and what do I see? Lee Jackson Field is 100% playable thanks to the grounds crew spending day and night on it. The field is perfect. The person who jumped the gun in the athletic department telling the NCAA the field is beyond repair should be fired. How in the hell do you give away home field advantage oh a whim? All those years of sitting behind a desk really qualifies you to make the call on whether or not a field can be repaired, 4 days before the game is being held. UA has a grounds crew that has been nationally recognized as one of the best in D1, and still you decide to just say "oh, well the field can't be fixed, I won't even let them try." well guess what numb nuts, the field is playable and its the day before the game. The U isn't 100% at fault, the Nazi Collegiate Athletic Association and their unbelievable bias towards BCS schools has to shoulder some blame. Taking away home field advantage from a team based on the recommendation of a glorified secretary just shows you to be assclowns we all already thought you were. So thank you NCAA/ UA athletic department. Thank you for screwing over the small guy and their fans yet again. While a top seed team from a smaller school plays at the field of a lame11 team who isn't even ranked, the higher ranked team's home field will be sitting empty waiting for the zips to come back on friday and destroy UNC. Unless, that is, between now and then someone farts on the field and the UA athletic department proclaims the field is unplayable and the NCAA happily moves the game to Chapel Hill.
  3. My family and I are going up early enough to catch the Blue Angels! You might want to bring a hard hat. You never know when they might tail spin into a house or something.
  4. I still can't understand this trade. Phil Savage must be from Can't State because he is retarded.
  5. Sorry Frye. Sorry that you had to be dicked by the worst franchise in the NFL. Hopefully Frye will go to a team that can win, instead of a poor excuse for a team that is all about trading high draft picks for an overrated tool.
  6. yeah. we had a thread like a month ago about him. He is a very good kicker and could compete right away for the starting kicking spot. I know i have said it before, but The kick i saw him kick (over 40 yds) into the wind at Can't's Dix stadium against brunswick in this years was the 2nd best kick i have ever seen in person........ the first best kick was david abdul from massillion when he kicked a 62 yarder against akron garfield his senior year. That guy was amazing......to bad he was a bust in college because of a number of issues. blowing up your kicking leg after falling asleep at the wheel and wrecking your car, i suppose, could be seen as an issue.
  7. Did the idiot on the radio say wether or not the VT recruits were "nappy headed hos"?
  8. "Speling is fo lusers. I seen pleny ppl make it in lyfe wit no edacashion."-Damon (I created AK-Rowdy)
  9. i didn't really care for that article, mainly because my interpretation of the tone of the piece was that we shouldn't be making as big of a deal about this event because tragic events occur all the time all over the place. i disagree. there are a lot of things about this attack that make it stand out more than the rest. 1. the number of people killed - the most in american history2. it happened on a college campus - it hits home a lot more when parents who already worry about their children being away can imagine this situation possibly happening anywhere. 3. a father murdering his sons then himself is still a domestic dispute. it isn't likely that it would extend to other people (which is a big reason the police thought the dorm shooting was the end of it) however, the senseless killing of so many people strikes a certain type of fear that you don't get from a domestic dispute. yeah, if you pray you might as well pray for everyone. i'll just be keeping them in my thoughts. At the same time the VT thing was going on, I read a story about a bomb that went off killing 45 in Iraq. That shit happens every damn day and no one really seems to care any more. Those are sons and daughters as well. Not to mention the over 600,000 Iraqis that have been killed. I guess they aren't human. It's no big surprise you misread that column. You hate everything the buchtelite does.
  10. same old song and dance from you. Wah childish insults. wah. why don't you go start some more threads just linking your blog.
  11. Oh my god, will you shut the hell up. I have tried to stay out of this because tOSU fans arguing w/ tOSU haters is like fighting over politics. There isn't a damn thing you can say that will make the other side feel any different. With that said, we get it. We understand that tOSU is better than Akron. However we come here to enjoy our team. Here, the Zips could beat the '72 Dolphins. Why? Because we are Akron fans. Is it being realistic? Probably not, but that is not the point. Here we have a place where we can dream of such things happening. We don't need assclowns like you leaving 10 trillion posts about how Jim Tressel's wife can cook better than JD's wife, because her husband coaches at tOSU. Again, we get it. They have more money, exposure, talent, jackass fans. Congrats. If you want to go give tOSU a big sloppy BJ, then take it somewhere else. Here you talk Zips. Respect the zips faithful and their love for the team, city, school. I'm a fan of other schools. I'm a big Texas Longhorns fan. I'm not on here talking about how if Akron were to play them, they would get their asses kicked. No. Akron would win that game. Why? Because i'm a goddamned Zips fan and I believe they could do anything. Thats why.
  12. well said Zips Win! I'm also glad to see you putting the little t in front of the OSU.even in high school they would openly promote scarlet and grey days. I'd always show up in my tUofA gear. I'm not about to be brainwashed into watching and rooting for a boring ass big ten school that is 2 hours away.
  13. Akron plays tOSU? Wow, we should be honored to be in the presence of such a great program. We'll obviously lose by 190 pts, but hey, Akron's no talented, worthless wastes of D1 atheltes will get a taste of the show. Only 6 months until we get run over by the greatest school in the world on their way to another national title!alright, enough sarcasam. I do wonder who tOSU will sign for their QB opening. They could probably get Troy Smith to come back to college for a simple 3 year, 21 million dollar deal. If only Akron had the boosters to buy players.More importantly, only 143 days until the Albany Great Danes football season opener at Colgate. Go Danes!
  14. funny how anti-trust laws never come into play.
