I must honestly say that I don't think the officiating was that bad. The traveling call on Nate was brutal, and Dials was getting molested a few times in the first half but thats really all they missed in my opinion. Its a shame that the travel came at such a pivotal point in the game, but if that happens with 10 minutes left, or any other point in the game really, its a non-issue. I really can't understand why everyone is so pissed off about the officiating. It was consistent and fair enough... the fouls were 22-20 Akron (in an overtime game, so not a lot of calls made really). On the road that's not a bad margin at all; you take that every time. Sure you can argue that Dru got hosed on a few, but I think Quintance could make a case as well. A dangerous trend is developing among Zips fans to complain about the officiating after every game, even when they did well. Let's enjoy the win and try to be a little more objective...

I seem to remember someone posted a "supercomputer's" thoughts on where the Zips will likely finish in the RPI. If you could direct me to where you found that (whoever it was, sorry I don't remember) or just an updated version of it, I would appreciate it.

What teams backed out of our schedule at the last minute? I thought the Tiffin game came about as a result of us losing in the first round of that tourney against UALR. Otherwise we would have had at least 1 additional game in the tourney and therefore making the Tiffin game unnecessary. I think that's why it was put on, unless I'm mistaken......

I believe the Tiffin game is not counted for RPI purposes because they are not D-I. thats the 15/16 discrepancy.

You guys are missing the point. It doesnt matter if we DESERVE to have a home game.... it matters that Akron cannot seat as many as Temple can and that means not as much money to be made. (It doesnt help that Zips fans generally dont show up anyway considering we only had 2 sellouts this year). Remember last year, when Akron was the best RPI team to not get an NIT bid? They deserved to be in then too, but not enough money could have been made off of the Zips. Maybe if fans started showing up the NIT would take note in the future. In the meantime get used to not having home games.
