Hey fellas. I’m pretty busy this morning and won’t likely be able to post much to this thread or update the initial post till later this afternoon. Just a little FYI.
Go Zips!
I haven't read much at all.
Here is a tweet from St. Thomas Aquinas (OH) WR (6-2, 180) Asian Burt's father:
Don't know if Asian's been offered a scholarship or a PWO opportunity.
Asian Burt highlights
I love KD & in my mind he is responsible for making Akron basketball what it is today. He was responsible for bringing in Romeo, Dru, & Wood which really got the ball rolling.
So even if he never makes a run @ Duquesne he’s always a Zip & ultimately can cry all the way to the bank. Lol.
I really like what I've seen in Tre Edwards in the 25 seconds he's been on the court. Lol. I also like his build. I'd really like to see him get a little more PT than he is presently.
Thanks. And good idea. I'll start a thread and, per usual, keep the initial post updated as best as I can.
Edit: now that I think about it, I'll just keep this thread updated with our late signees, because they're all going to be counted toward our 2021 class.
Hey now. Lol
Of course Idk, but I am excited to see our JUCO All-American QB DJ Irons.
I’m not asking for the moon. I just want a QB who can make reads to 2 different receivers and, if nothing is there, run for 4-5 yards.
2 of which should go to current walk-ons, correct? Brandon Bischoff & one other, IIRC.
If it's accurate that Tony Grimes, Jr. was a walk-on I have to think he's gonna be put on scholarship.
But I haven't seen anyone tweet saying they've verballed to Akron.
St. Thomas Aquinas (OH) WR Asian Burt's father has been tweeting some ambiguous tweets and it sounds like Asian's going to at least be offered a PWO opportunity with UA.
It’s earlier in this thread (I’m certain it must be this thread), but do you guys remember the heat Groce took from some former posters on this site when he was hired and especially as he struggled through his first season? A couple former posters seemed to have downright disdain for Groce. Seems like ancient history now.
Earlier in the thread there was a little back & forth in regards to Mentor QB Ian Kipp. Well, Kipp verballed to Kent, so we’ll get to see how he fares in the MAC. He’ll just be wearing blue & pee, not blue & gold.
