Stark County is raising their hotel bedroom tax rate by 3%. Isn't that the motion which was removed from the Summit Co. ballot a few years ago to fund a new downtown arena? How can Stark Co. raise the tax rate w/o it going to vote? Canton Rep article

Our DL impressed me yesterday. Was Copeland playing some DE yesterday (my video feed cut out)? I believe I saw Copeland, Boxen & Camara in the game at the same time. Frenchy mentioned at one crucial point pretty late in the game that our DL was entirely city alumni. That would have to have been Deon'Tae Moore & Justin Sampson at DE & Brennan Williams & DeAndre Brimage at DT. That speaks highly of true frosh Sampson & Brim that they're getting meaningful PT late in a 1-point game against one of the best teams in the MAC.

What a HUGE win for the program. Biggest win since our bowl win vs Utah State.

Buffalo's obviously legit. They hung right in with the top of the MAC West.

Is Miami struggling with injuries? They aren't playing like they were the 2nd half of last season.

Ohio ended up winning 48-30.

KSUcks beating Miami by 3 in the 4th. Buffalo hanging right with NIU; only trailing 13-14 late in the 3rd. Ohio looking no better than us, presently up on BGSU 21-16 in the 3rd.

Kwad's shown some nice improvement this year as well, IMO. He made last week's pretty difficult straight over-the-head TD catch (i.e., not over-the-shoulder) look routine. I was impressed with how smooth he was on that play. But I also wish Stewart & Williams would get more PT. Young & Gladney haven't contributed much... and that's putting it graciously.

Exactly. Imho there shouldn't even be athletics budgets. It/they should all be categorized under Advertising.
