  1. I turned in late to 1350 & didn't hear an injury report. But Brad Detweiler did say something about us being "on our4th string QB," so... I guess no Tommy
  2. Let's snap this 8-game losing streak to OU!!!
  3. Just an hour till kick off. The OU tailgating scene is rocking
  4. Oh no. Apparently it's Tookie's birthday?! We'd better bring our "A" game!
  5. What the heck. Lol. Amid the chaos, no Joe Dunn on 1350 this evening... so I'm supposing he's @ the football game.
  6. On 1350 a few days ago I heard Joe say he was going to be in Athens.
  7. I'm just hoping we sign him to give us viable depth at the QB position next year w/o having to redshirt another true freshman QB. Next year's depth chart: 1. Tommy 2. Kato 3. Nathan This year's depth chart: 1. Tommy 2.
  8. He's the size of Utomi. We may have to guard him with either Utomi or Eubanks? He's twice as strong as any of our starting three guards.
  9. I wonder if OU has game planned for Kyle Foster?
  10. Banged-up Zips need upset of Bobcats to gain bowl eligibility “The only quarterback I can tell you is not playing this week is [freshman] Kato Nelson,” UA coach Terry Bowden said. “This week, we’re not sure again. We’re going to try to get our quarterbacks ready and see where we are.”
  11. Can't believe after starting the season 5-3, the season rides on tonight. But the season rides on tonight.
  12. Ga. Southern comes in at 1-2 with their sole win being over NAIA member school Coastal Georgia by a count of 92-43. However, one of their losses was a nail biter to NC State, 79-81. Their leading scorer is 6-4 G Ike Smith, who's pouring in over 20 PPG. Ike is followed in scoring by 5-11 G Tookie Brown (who plays almost the entire game) and.... wait for it... B.J. Gladden, yes, former Zip BJ Gladden, coming in at 11.7 PPG. No other Georgia Southern player comes close to averaging double digits. BJ will be geared up for this game, but I'm going with a Zips win. If BJ Gladden is your 3rd-leading scorer, the Zips should be able to shut down the offensively-challenged Georgia Southern Eagles. P.s. For those who haven't seen BJ play, he's a cool dude. Just wanted more PT than would have been available for him at UA. BJ's got an NBA physique but the game always seemed to move just a little too quickly for him at this level.
  13. Senior highlight film 1st Team D-III Inland District
  14. Exactly. Who knows, with a new arena we may actually be able to bring in some competition worth the price of admission?
  15. East is the new Buchtel.
  16. A really well written game story with quotes and everything! ... by some dude named Brad Bournival(?)... "Special to the Beacon Journal."
  17. Agreed. I would guess Poke's probably too thin to play the 5 against higher level competition, but, as you noted, he's 6'-8", can get off the floor and his arms are so long I think he can touch the floor while standing straight up!
