I noticed on the last zips weekly show mentioned only 12 HS commits when we had tracked 13. Wondered at this time if it was a slip, but the difference might have been Smith.
Uh, oh. I subtracted Mike Smith from Post #1 but still count 13 commitments. I hope nobody else is decommitting.

You are very perceptive, oh wise B & G. I know U of A really had no choice when it occurred, but I am disappointed that the record board at the Natatorium reflects the results, and also the program for the Invitational does as well. I just find the stance that all NCAA institutions took last year in celebrating Title IX hypocritical in light of what happened in the sport that year. U of A does a very good job of supporting women's athletics, and I applaud them for that, it's just a sore spot, since our daughter swam against two of these women.

From the Texas A&M website: "Rated as the No. 1 JUCO offensive tackle by 247 Sports and ESPN ... Rated as a 4-star prospect by ESPN and Rivals." but didn't see the field much.

We already have our rivalry. Schools only get one rivalry. I just think it makes for better competition and that makes the games more entertaining.
If played right, which the MAC isn't capable of, it could give each MAC school an additional home game in the nice weather months. I know I'm being delusional about this and the conference leadership will use it to stuff in another week night game, but we can always dream.
No way. the more rivalries the better. We've got our primary rival in KSUcks which will always be #1. We've also got a nice rivalry with OU. We all (used) to get up for the OU game. We used to hate Miami. HATE. The freaking Sweaters. I used to see "Muck Fiami," t-shirts being worn around the Info.
We've sucked for so long in football we're forgetting what more of these games used to feel like.
And It'd be great if we could cultivate a secondary rivalry with Toledo... another natural rivalry in the making which we already enjoy in basketball. UT's really the one I'm looking at.
A yearly schedule featuring
The Bobkittens
Fiami
Buffalo
Toledo
KSUcks
And I'm looking forward to a lot of games... rivalry games... games that when you lose you feel a bit sick to your stomach and it takes you a week to get over it... having to wait an entire calendar year to make things right again in the world.

If you show up this weekend at the Zippy Invitational at Ocasek, once again, please remember these names:
Emma Moynihan (Miami) - 4:42.47 (2019 500 free); Claudia Lins de Mello (Miami) - 1:45.47 (2019 200 free); Claire Leichty (Toledo) - 16:11.80 (2012 1,650 free)
Say their names
Are those girls whose records were broken by that dude last year?

I'd love 9 conference games. The Sun Belt and Big 10 both have 9. The MAC is a good league with entertaining games. Have some confidence in the product and play each other.
I’m leaning toward this as well. The opportunity to foster another one or two yearly rivalry games. Add in a ‘challenge’ with the Sunbelt Conference & you’ve got a nice yearly schedule.

My only compliant would be us not being in the same pod as Ohio, as I'd like to play them along with Kent every year.
💯 I just posted the same in another thread.

I hope we keep our yearly game vs. Ohio. We haven’t been keeping up our end of the bargain but it’s still a good rivalry whose fan bases don’t care much for each other. Gotta keep rivalries like these alive.

I’d like to see them offer Massillon LB Dorian Pringle. He’s from Copley. 6’0” 225-ish. But he’s currently committed to BUGS. He was D2 NEO Inland Region co-defensive POTY.

DJI commenting on the rather difficult 40-yard(ish) sideline throws obviously required in JoMo's offense.

I love Joe Dunn. He's one of us.
Plus, I think he does a good job. I don't know how he's remained so positive and optimistic through all these years.
