  1. I was just thinking the same. I googled Guaynabo City Arena & it has a capacity of 5,500.
  2. Shammah Scott had a rough first half... but didn't look at all out of his depth. He looked fine. Shots just weren't falling & made a couple bad passes... which could be simply the result of not yet having developed chemistry. Tavari is #2 PG. Looks like Thornton is the odd man out @ PG early in the season. (I'm still not a huge fan of Tribble running the point... lots of empty minutes from Greg.) Baker is big! He moves well too. He looks like he's going to be a good one. Did Nate Johnson have 3 threes that first half? If so, watch out world!
  3. GoZips dot com says no video stream or live stats tonight. Weโ€™ll have to wait for the ABJ write up tomorrow morning.
  4. The team is apparently taking a trip to Puerto Rico. Does anyone know if there will be streaming for any of these exhibition games?
  5. Just received an email stating they had to cancel the football reception which had been planned for Sunday the 20th ๐Ÿ˜•
  6. This sounds good to me.At least to begin the season plugging Thornton - a transfer 5th year senior - into the starting PG role makes me a little more comfortable than starting Tavari - a true sophomore. Maybe after Christmas see how Tavariโ€™s looking in that #1 PG role.
  7. I hope they both just had fun ๐Ÿ˜‰
  8. Welcome to ZipsNation, brother! Glad you're here! In the Cayman Islands Classic, if we beat FIU in the first game, that would give us the winner of the Utah State -v- Marshall game. So we can add one of those two to your list. But as of now I think that's all we know of. Hopefully the schedule will be released soon!
  9. Better record this year, UA or ULM?
  10. Great sounding starting 5. But that would likely push Thornton to backup PG (correct?)... ... which would likely push Tavari to #3 PG. I'd be interested to see how Tavari handles that. And @clarkwgriswold, what's the breakfast/practice you referred to? Was that made public? I don't remember hearing about that opportunity.
  11. I love Nate. But he needs more confidence in himself. Iโ€™ve got more confidence in Nate than Nate has in himself. Iโ€™m excited to see what kind of jump, if any, heโ€™s made this off-season.
  12. I'm going to guess PG - Thornton W - Tribble W - Dawson P - Ali P - Freeman Tavari, Scott, & Hunter 1st off the bench w/ plenty of PT.
  13. Lingard taking a leadership role right out of the gate ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ
  14. Hang in there, Spin ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

  16. I posted this on 7/6 in the 2023 Season thread. I'll copy & paste here... My projections (as of 7/6) @ Temple - W Morgan State - W @ Kentucky - L @ Indiana - L Buffalo - W NIU - W @ CMU - L @ BUGS - W KSUcks - W @ Miami - L @ EMU - L Ohio - L Total: 6-6
  17. We lost out on Brecksville PG Luke Skaljac as he committed to Miami-O.
  18. That makes 12 HS recruits for next year. We may really slam on the brakes in regards to HS recruits this cycle, no? Hold the remaining spots for transfers & JUCO's?
  19. Indeed. Jahvon is JACKED ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ
