I thrilled with our LB play. After losing Bubba I thought it'd take our youngins a handful of games to get up to speed. No way. Our LB's are STUDS!

Can you elaborate on this? Nate Williams? Tyler Williams? Was one of them hurt? And, speaking of OL... Kamari Landers had to go to JUCO for a year but plans to return to UA as soon as he is able.

This is where I find myself this a.m. I was underwhelmed last night & still feel it this a.m. We were LUCKY to beat an FCS opponent. I fear it's going to be another long season. On top of that, except for the final minute of the 1st and and final minute of the 2nd half, last night's game was B-O-R-I-N-G. For years I've been taking guys to games just hoping against hope to make some new Akron fans and for years I've often felt guilty for subjecting my friends to the stuff. Last night was yet another occurrence. Ugh. Before the 2nd half started one of my friends - who loves him some football - said, "This feels like a looooooong game. Even halftime felt long." It simply wasn't much fun. Being a Zips fan ain't for wimps.

Uh, oh. Just watched Zips Weekly and, to me, it doesn't sound like we've got a QB. DJ's obviously not 100%... we'll just leave it at that... yet the staff doesn't seem confident in allowing Tahj to throw the ball. When asked to comment on Tahj, JoeMo just said that (my paraphrase) yes, he's got a rocket for an arm, but they're still working on his accuracy & to only expect to see him in certain short-yardage situations. No other QB's were even mentioned by Joe Dunn, let alone saw any PT last week when the offense clearly needed a 2nd-half kick start. We might be in a bit of trouble 🫠

Someone asked why attendance has been on a downward trajectory. I can't help but think it's: 1&2) us winning neither the MAC Championship nor an NCAA match since 2018, and 3) games like last night - which simply aren't very good spectator events. I watched on tv and found myself playing with my phone more so than watching the "action" on the pitch. Is Jared capable of lighting a fire in this team? It's been over 4 years now... I know he had awfully big shoes to fill when Porter left, but... it's been years... something's... off.

Did anyone notice whether Kiawan Murphy got any reps at DT?
