K E N T @ Toledo ESPN U 6:00 early start, interesting game IMO as this is the very definition of the dreaded sandwich spot for the Radio City Rockettes. They are off of that huge win at Buffalo then hit the road again for our return match, Still, the lack of Can't's interior presence is probably a fatal flaw. I'll be watching..... Dare I say I'm hoping the F lashes can steal one tonight.

Amen !

"Their players are all quick and follow the ball like a swarm of bees whose hive is under attack." That was excellent writing right there. I was thinking perhaps more in the terms of..... a school of five famished great whites pursuing the ball as if it were a chubby baby seal. I like your version better though, it truly really paints a terrifying picture,

Pep band calls the shots? ......Oh my, in that case when the other team is on a roll we'll just whip out HEY JUDE or better yet IN A GADDA DA VIDA, Yeah, that will ice their butts,

In a word: YES There are no gimmes on the road. EMU's zone can be tough, If the Zips are having one of those days from the field and the stripe they will be in danger. IMO, Eastern is probably the biggest under achiever in the conference. I expected much more from them. Still, they will be a tough out at home in front of their 247 rabid fans. I think that the Zips will probably be favored but not by more than 3 or so. I expect nothing less than a tough game that goes down to the final minutes.

Akron's best kept secret, All of Zip track and field for that matter. 1 in 500 in this town may have a clue as to how great this kid is.

He was brought into the program to reduce the number of flashes needed to change a light bulb. Sadly, that number remains rather high, even when measured by Can't's less than lofty standards.

Athletic Director Status ---- Tom Wistrcill
The Hip Zip replied to Dr Z's topic in Akron Zips Basketball
Don't read too much into that, I believe its personal preference. Its not far from where we sit and he's been there as long as I recall. -
No, blacked out. So what the TW deal really accomplishes is eliminating the largest portion of of Zip fans in NE Ohio from watching them. I sustained one hell of a hip pointer a couple days ago so I end up giving the tics to my kids with no other alternative to view the game It sucks,,,,,,

As far as the Zips aspirations to win the MAC East go, tonight could not have gone much better, It was a pretty decent night for the west. So glad to see the Bulls get tagged at home but not so happy to see UT play to their full potential.

Bit off topic but hurley gets Td up inside the first minute tonight

I just hope whomever it is, that he or she can bring us our first national championship.... Wait.....What ??..... Well you don't say,,,,,,,,,,,, -
Call me a pessimist but I would consider it more of a case of. holding serve. I do see and agree with your POV though. No doubt, we proved that we can play with them and we are getting to be a mentally strong lot ourselves. I like that. A loss at home to the Bulls would have been a tough hurdle to overcome for the team psyche, may have had some serious lingering effects.

IMO it won't matter. Buffalo is the tougher team. Toledo has more offensive talent but the chemistry is lacking some. Sometimes Juice just doesn't feel the need 0t to give it up so they can get a bit selfish. They also can get lazy on the defensive end. I would not at all be surprised to see the Bulls take them down by DDs. I'll stand my ground for now proclaiming Buffalo to be the best and most complete team in a very tight conference. Probably the best schedule of games the MAC could ever muster tonight. 3-4 really good ones on tap.

I prefer to call the new edition the A K Sleepies. Not a lot of passion there these days. Needs to change for sure

my bad, just looked to make sure and he's now listed as probable so it appears that you are correct. I'll edit the above. No, no, no...Thank You

We all get it, you don't like KD's treatment of Pat and of KD's use of our bigs. We got it the first couple of times and we get it today, What is ironic is that this thread was started so close to groundhog day. To answer your question, yes you are watching the same game. You have your opinions and we all have ours but can we move on? SMH....... Somebody T me up, I need to break the momentum
-
That will get you a T just about every time. It's a provacative gesture ( with or without dialogue) and will considered to be a taunt by the zebras.

Hopefully you now have a better understanding. Simply stated, this guy is a jerk. However, he is in the process of turning this series into a very passionate and entertaining rivalry. Games like this are awesome to play in and awesome for the fans as well. Loved the play of Antino tonight despite the T that I thought he deserved. This guy was all over the floor and is about fearless as they come. This team is beginning to really grow on me as they are becoming a very tough and gutty bunch. I like that, Now, about that FT shooting...... Yikes....... just realized that it's almost 4 AM and I'm still amped up.

Big Dog has a chance to become a very good player. It's all on him to fill those shoes and walk the walk. He's got the tools,, but the fire??
-
Yeah, I do recall and loved all the abuse "hurled" his way that he couldn't seem to escape or ignore. 99.9 % of coaches let it go but Bobby is the poster boy for the 0.01% that you can get into his head. Dude's wrapped a little too tight and is just one classic insult away from the epic total meltdown. Mrs Hurley, upon seeing her newborn baby boy Bobby: " This is only half baked. Could you please just send it back" ?
-
Good info there, guess its not as bad as I thought, Back in the day though they stopped just short of wanting me to become a bubble boy, (Thats a double Seinfeld reference BTW) It was pretty much just my bedroom and bathroom for a long time. I suppose in the medical field they understand that virus much more now than back in the early 70s. Well then, we shall have to devise another strategy to defeat those vermin..........I'll get right on it

Love hearing from the opponents fan base. i think its terrific that the school is sending down students. That makes for a great atmosphere and great game. It's a biggie,( and as Steve French would say), there's no doubt about it. I do think though that Hurley is a little rat that would push his own mother out of the way to get to the cheese. To be honest, I think he's got some issues upstairs. Can't argue with his coaching results though Bring back Reggie damn it ! Seriously though. I established the Bulls to be the team to beat early on and they have done nothing to change my opinion. When I saw how tough they played Wisconsin for about 30 minutes it blew me away at how good this team could be if they realize their potential. Can't wait for this one. I'm stoked
