Big Dog has a chance to become a very good player. It's all on him to fill those shoes and walk the walk. He's got the tools,, but the fire??

Yeah, I do recall and loved all the abuse "hurled" his way that he couldn't seem to escape or ignore. 99.9 % of coaches let it go but Bobby is the poster boy for the 0.01% that you can get into his head. Dude's wrapped a little too tight and is just one classic insult away from the epic total meltdown. Mrs Hurley, upon seeing her newborn baby boy Bobby: " This is only half baked. Could you please just send it back" ?

Good info there, guess its not as bad as I thought, Back in the day though they stopped just short of wanting me to become a bubble boy, (Thats a double Seinfeld reference BTW) It was pretty much just my bedroom and bathroom for a long time. I suppose in the medical field they understand that virus much more now than back in the early 70s. Well then, we shall have to devise another strategy to defeat those vermin..........I'll get right on it

Love hearing from the opponents fan base. i think its terrific that the school is sending down students. That makes for a great atmosphere and great game. It's a biggie,( and as Steve French would say), there's no doubt about it. I do think though that Hurley is a little rat that would push his own mother out of the way to get to the cheese. To be honest, I think he's got some issues upstairs. Can't argue with his coaching results though Bring back Reggie damn it ! Seriously though. I established the Bulls to be the team to beat early on and they have done nothing to change my opinion. When I saw how tough they played Wisconsin for about 30 minutes it blew me away at how good this team could be if they realize their potential. Can't wait for this one. I'm stoked

I actually went through this mono thing when I was 15 .....( cough...cough.. just a few years back)... and the docs said that its a virus that will always be in me. I really don't remember a whole lot while it was going on but did miss almost a month of school. They wanted me isolated from everybody, I do remember that part. I think that the big factor for Can't is how long will he be may be highly infectious to others. So with that in mind, lets get him right back in the Can't State locker room.

Who knew he could ball like that as well as blow one mean trombone. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKMYgUVONVQ

Thinking here that the other four you mention will play themselves out of it but I wouldn't bet on it. This is the big one, we must take down the Canadiens at home because their gym has been a house of horrors for us and for a long time too. off of a tough loss, I think that we will be primed for a top effort. I respect the Hell out of Buff but think we get the best of them them here

Great perspective, appreciate some moments of clarity around here.

Zips at BGSU. Battle for first place.

You see,I just don't get that at all. Don't get me wrong because I was rooting for the Bucks to beat Oregon as much as the next guy. It just seems to me though that unless you are an alum or someone with a real personal connection with somebody in the program that you are simply a fan of the uniform. How much attachment can you have for stars that come in for a one and done season and move onto the NBA or NFL. I admire the skills they possess, their superb athleticism and all that, but I'm not a fan of any of the factories that produce them. Give me some solid mid major sports any day over that. I find it rewarding to watch a kid develop as a player and a man over four years( I know, some don't cut it). But we really get to know these kids, that's where the real attachment is for me. And you know what? Sometimes us mids even beat those factories. I find nothing else in sports that is more fun than the improbable slaying of Goliath. -
Excellent choice of words Dr Z

You're preaching to the choir my friend. He gets a little worse every year, I find him and the Zips entire treatment of sports broadcasting to be incompetent and nearly intolerable. The problem is though that the UA couldn't care less and most of the simpletons think he's the greatest. As far as the call, I found the contact on that play to be minimal and not a lot there that doesn't happen on every other fight for a rebound. However, as an official, I am sure that you are much more schooled on the subject than I and I do respect your opinion.

Hell of a game to watch, no doubt about it. Wonder how many " Are you kidding me " statements I missed from French by listening and watching the ESPN Feed. Anybody got the stats on that ? The Sun will come up tomorrow, just a little colder. We'll get through this. Now let's hope that OU does a number on Buff and Can't in the next weeks.

Unless he's 6'7" and 275 lbs you can tell your work buddy that the Hip Zip says he's a jackass. -
Yes, my remark was geared towards easy wins in road games. I should have clarified. Thanks....

Anybody catch what Jay Bilas had to say about our good pal Terry Wymer last week ???? Note that the ref under the hoop about two feet away saw nothing there while Terry tooted his whistle from well beyond the 3 pt arc, had to be about 25 feet away, I now give you " the worse call in the history of basketball." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ec2OGgyDs0E

I wish I could share your optimism, I really do, but I just don't see us as a team that is built to blow anybody out. I will say that when one of our wings gets really hot we have a chance to defeat somebody soundly, it just hasn't happened enough. I think the spread is where it should be. FWIW take a look at the Buff/ Ball St game tonight in Muncie. Buffalo looked like a top 25 team when they easily disposed of K E N T on Friday night yet they are only a 6 pt fav at Ball and I give BSU a solid punchers chance at the upset tonight. They have their big guy back and he makes a difference and so can the letdown after a big win as the Zips and Buff both enjoyed. Hope you are correct but I expect a tight one...... I'll edit out the betting part since you posted the same time as I was

I've been wondering why Stevie Taylor as taken such a fall.?? I always liked him from the first time I saw him backing up DJ Cooper. I've watched a couple OU games where he didn't get many minutes at all. It appears from afar that he has maybe sulked under Saul Phillips and they simply have not functioned well together. I just don't know what is going on with him, this should have been his team. Agree that Ndour is a beast. He's fun to watch play and has a motor that just never stops. He's one of the three best "bigs " in the MAC East that I've seen and he'll play professionally somewhere. Agree also with MD Zip that this rivalry seems to have slipped a bit. I loved it when the 'Cats were really tough and these two teams fought like Hell for 40 minutes. They hated us and we hated them. I sure hope we see a good old fashioned battle in front of a large and spirited crowd at the Convo. Many times I've taken the long trip down there and have seen the best of Zip teams come up empty. it was just about impossible to go down there and steal one. Now,not so much though road wins are gold in this conference and are hard earned. I take nothing for granted and expect a very close game that can go either way. Maybe Jake gets peek at those O U jerseys and goes off again.???????? Akron 68 OU 65

Another thought : great coaches seem to have a knack for pulling out these types of games. I'm as geeked about this win as I've been for a very long time. -
So I'm watching Buffalo and Can't ....

Add this to my BG negative profile: Guard play is very poor against pressure. They have little chance of beating a very good defensive team when it really counts, especially away from home. -

And not to be a buzzkill but I'm super worried about Jake. He's getting pretty close to the point that one of these head knocks can be career ending. He's a great classy kid and has a bright future ahead of him with or without hoops. Hang tough Jake, prayers sent your way -

At the risk of being accused of becoming a blasphemous Zip faithful, try listening to the other play by play guys once in awhile. Sometimes Frenchy's homerism is just way too over the top for my tastes, I enjoy getting the other points of view. The BG guys are fairly good. -

Hey Kwan... It's gettin' real old real fast. Put a damn sock in it and play ball. This is like 3 Ts in 2 weeks, unacceptable by any standards -
