you dont think oklahoma state is a good team? or #12 tennessee, who which the beat twice last season, or #8 st marys, who which they beat 3 times last season, or Indiana, (i know indiana wasnt great but its still a Major conferance team being beat by a mid major). they only lost to UCONN and arizona by 5. i dont see any blow outs there.I'd venture to say any sound of mind zips fan would be pleased to replicate gonzaga's success....Duke, North Carolina, Michigan State are a few examples of great programs....

The game is on SNY a regional sports network...any decent sports bar will have the game. SNY should not black out the broadcast. I suggest finding a sports bar that has Directv.Remember, we're talking about Akron Ohio -- and a bar that is WILLING to show the game. There's a lot that people who have never been in a college football program don't understand about it and never will. The mindset of the players and coaches that I see some of you assume around here is so far off I can't even get started on it. I've never been a college coach, but I was a player for 5 seasons, and as a player I saw a very similar situation (which week is our coach gonna get fired??) as the one the team currently sits in. I was just trying to offer a little insight into the mindset of JD and the team at this point.I understand and respect your point of view. Personally, I can't take anymore of Brookhart. Think back to last years cincy game, buffalo game, etc....is he so stubborn to recognize his defensive scheme will NEVER ( i hate speaking in absolutes, but....) give the team a chance to succeed? has it up until this point? I just think the brookhart era has run it's course here & i'd bet anyone a frosty cold one the new AD agrees. Brookhart may be like Romeo Crennel, good coach, great to have on your staff, not HC material.

In both football and basketball, I've always said on here that we need to win something of SIGNIFICANCE for attendance to change dramatically. But....in our 2nd game in the new stadium we're more than 10,000 short of a full house? I really thought that the "I hate the Rubber Bowl, and I'll go when we have a new on-campus stadium" excuse would have lasted a lot longer than that.Quite frankly I did as well...apparently the new stadium provided a short honeymoon....I just can't take anymore of brookhart...that 3-3-5 is an awful awful scheme....any team will run all day with 6 in the box

I've said it already and I'll say it again. IU is 3-0 with games against Purdue, Northwestern, Virginia and Iowa remaining. They could win six games and go to a bowl.I don't think the talent level on IU is all that bad. Like us, they have a huge QB problem. Chappell is terrible. If Akron can avoid STUPID mistakes like EKU fumbling inside their 5 yard line last night vs Indiana, they can compete. Akron also has to make plays when opportunity presents...i.e. andre jones drop vs wisconsin last year. This team is probably the strongest & fastest in the Brookhart era. Indiana, btw, is very beatable.

When the school made season tickets available, it got orders for far more than the 14,377 it had to offer and had to convince some buyers to accept lesser packages or fewer tickets. And when it made student tickets available last Monday at 10 a.m., students by the hundreds camped out overnight to make sure they got theirs.
