nbs95 here. I spoke to Steve's dad this morning.He ask me if you were still planning to come to Steve's frist Home game, to welcome him. I attached the 2007 schedule. I belive that the frist home game is against McGuffy. This is were the school will most likey will be raising the section champion banner from the 2005-2006 season. This is the frist section win in the schools history, so it should be a big deal. I'm sure Steve McNess would be interested in coming to E.F.If his schedule will allow.If you do plan on bringing a bus load of zip fan, Please let me know. I can with arrangements. There is a rumor going around the PA sports board website. that Herb Pope is looking to be recruited by Can't State. Pope is from Aliquippa PA. He is ranked 4th in the country as a forward. I feel this might be a rumor, however I wanted to know if anyone heard something about this? He would be in the 2007 class.

reguardless if it's 2007 or 2008 it will be fun to watch.

Going to the big dance is always a big deal. I thinks Steve McNees will make a good attention to the zips. I thinks the zip will make it to the big dance this march and will only impriove as time goes on. the schedule will allow it to happen we have the talent.

My Source tells me it is with Pitt and will be at home in Akron in 2007 and at Pitt in 2008.It will be a great road trip in 2008.

I will agree with that statement. Whole heartly. Coach Dambrot is smart in using James.you get some starry eyed kid that has telent That might be on the fence between some Big east school and Akron Then a introduction to LeBron might just be enough to sway him in his decision. LeBron is a big carrot to dangle. He sometime practices with the zips.I don't think anything is wrong with that. I also think that Dambrot does want to be the next Gonzaga/ George Mason, Just look at his last two recruits. Mark my words the zip will be in the NCAA tournament in three years. Dambrot wants to make a name for himself and Akron. I don't blame him at all

Walsh is a good player he would be a good asset for the Zips. Walsh was with the Moon tigers in thier last three Championship wins.

Welcome from Pittsburgh PAI guest with big Steve coming to play for the Zips, that would make me a new fan.Go ZIPS!!!!!!We are very proud of Stephen, you wouldn't want anyone better.The local paper calls him the "gental giant" he stands 6'9" ,but he will most likely top off at 6'11" He is a straight shooter will give his teammates the kudos before saying anything about his accomplishments . With Stephen it's all about the team and not about him.his work ethic is that he runs off the court as fast as he runs on the court. Stephen plays hard and is very humble. you will not find a better person. His record speaks for himself.I have known Stephen since for the last 17 years, and I'm very proud of accomplishments. He will be a great asset for to your team.His leaderships will bring out the best in his teammates, and they will do the same for him. With Steve McNees and Steve Swiech (swick) you have the top two highest scoring players in the WPIALS for 2005-2006. higher then Herb Pope. Both are good friends and will be an unstoppable duo. Swiech has been in the weight room these last 3 months and he is solid. he has slim down and is moving faster. He has been imporving his defense his shots.He took the Elizabeth Forwards to their 1st section win in the schools 52 year history.they were the #1 seed for the playoffs. Steve played the frist round againts Derry areawith a broken foot. he scored 23 point and had 10 rebounds and 5 blocks. the won.in the second rounf steve was out and the team lost to Thomas Jefferson. and very sad day for all.He is to get the go ahead to play for the AAU team the Jots on June 30th I belive.
