If Swiech gets Red redshirted. I will not be attending any games. I could not handle the disappointment.The shame of the thought.

With all do respect people. I think we are missing this person complaint.It is ture no matter what ticket you purchase, i.e. concert or sporting event they all have some sort of purchasing fee attach to it, either build in the cost or as a line item. We have all come to accept it. However if I am understanding his complaint and I quote "wishes to charge me a $5processing fee for the privilege of donating $500 a seat to the Z Fund."The Key word here is donating.Let's say if a person mails a $500 donation to a church or faternal organization and then is charge a $5.00 processing fee.you could understand why they would be upset. Why would anyone want to donate money to any group if they are being charge to do so. If this is the case it's the church or faternal organization who is being petty.Nevertheless if we are talking about making a donation to the z fund then I can see his/her point. However if a season pass cost $500 and they are calling it a donation then I can understand everyone thinking he/she is being petty. that is simply no more then the cost of business. I have never bought a season pass simply because I just have become a Zips fan. so I really don't know how the process works. I do think KD has a great product this year and I believe that this year will be exciting I wish the Zips a great year.

From what I heard, Swiech has taken 3 classes this summer. He is rooming with Ronnie Steward. Swiech is with the weights 1-1 1/2 hours a day and is at open gym every night for 1-2 hours every night. He really is excited to be here and is looking to play.I also heard that the coaches are pleased with how committed he is.

I would be very interested to know what comments KD and the rest of his staff had to say about the new recruits. If anyone can shed some light I would be greatful.

Skip- zipI agreed with you 100% However, lets look at the glass half full; when Akron wins one of these 10 games it makes averything you said one step closer to happening.The MAC conference has improved over the last couple of years. People are taking notice. ie. Can't state knocking Pitt out in the tornament. Toledo Beating Pitt. and Akron in there the up-roar of the media of being snub by the NIT last year. I Belive Akron is on the edge of making a name for it's self and the MAC. we have a good team this year. That is making the high caliber of recruites stopping to take a hard look towards Akron and the MAC teams. Why? because they want more playing time a better chance to get notice. Lebron James coming to the cames, and they are lest likely to sit on the bench or red shirt thier first year. Look at Swiech he turn down Pitt, Wake Forest just because he belives in KD and what Akron has to offer. Akron needs to win those games against Dayton, Temple, and Winthrop. they are just as important as conference games.

It will be interesting to see who will get more playtime Bardo or Swiech, Both are big boysand will at depth to the center position. I guest it will de determine which man wants it more. I would hate to see Swiech red shirt, thank would be upsetting.By the way, if this guy but Akron at 3 who did he predict to be number 1 in the MAC??

Hello everyone I'm Steve's uncle Norm, and I must say that I am excited as the rest of you that Steve is playing for Akron. Everyone that I met from KD to the players, alumni has been amazing. I take my hat off to you. I have been on this site now since Steve told me he was going to Akron, and I must say you people are just as crazy about your sport team as the people in Pittsburgh are about the Steelers. Please no offense to you Browns Fans. I look forward to making many trips with my son Nathan (who is Steve's biggest fan) to the JAR next year. Swiech ended the season with a total of 1908 career points. He was rank number 3 in the wpials leading scores 21games 519 this year 24.7 apg.Swiech was nominated to the McDonald All-American team. He is waiting to hear if he made the team. Swiech is at the Duquesne game tonight.

I will say this about Swiech he started out slow this season but in the last three games he has been putting up the point. he hat 41 against Yough 31 against Hopewell and 30 against West mifflin, However they lost to Yough and West Mifflin?? The boys are just not putting up the their numbers. I think Coach KD made a good choice in McNees. Bare in mind he is new. He is learning the team style of play. he has be voted the impact rookie for the zips. McNees will do fine.

Great assessment, We fan's of Big Steve Swiech are just excited about this. Coach KD was down to watch Steve practice this week. KD ia a good guy, you can tell he would like to see his team in the sweet sixteen. Steve is tipping the scale at 250# and is has grown an inch to 6'-10" Since his surgery this spring he has been in the weight room. You are correct he is HUGE!!! We look forward to many a road trips to Akron to See him play.
