I was very surprised when I walked in (maybe 1:45 or so) to be handed vouchers for the bobblehead. Didn't think I would be getting those today.

We started slow once again (3 points in the first 5-6 minutes). However, I noticed good defense - active hands and moving feet. Very nice to see that. Also saw players diving on the floor for loose balls, which looks like a team that wants to go out there and compete. Our size limited out interior defense, which is expected, but made the plays when they needed to. All around good effort. This win gives me some hope for a first round home game.

The problem is that we don't have HUSTLE 3, HUSTLE 4, HUSTLE 5 .......

Just finished watching the reply. Overall, a very well played game for the Zips. The offense seemed to move - even without the ball. A nice balance between 3 point shooting and inside play. NIU is probably not the best team, but this is a good building block. On to the Bobkittens.....

We've missed a lot of easy layups in this game. While we are making a little run, this game could be really close right now.

They played pretty well. However, much of the scoring was from outside. Still need to work on getting some points in the paint.

This is exactly why people are upset. We've had multiple players thrown out of games this season because of a lot less. This time, it happened to us, was reviewed, and declared not to be targeting. Based on the way Zips fans have seen targeting called this season, this should have been a clear ejection.
