  1. Well as of now we need 16 to remain in the MAC right?
  2. those add up to 18, what am I missing?
  3. So it's getting counted twice to make the graph look more to their liking?
  4. Am I understanding correctly that the fees would be in the direct institutional support piece of the graph? Or are they in the 9.4%?
  5. Well academic spending should most likely mirror enrollment. Athletic spending doesn't have anything to do with enrollment. I can see dropping to the minimum of 16 sports, but otherwise the two aren't really related.
  6. Well you'd play nine teams twice and two once. Would be easier to just play 22 and get everyone twice. I'm hopeful they'd lock in any rivalries twice a year and just rotate the others. Some outside the box thinking would be nice but I don't see a whole lot of flexibility there
  7. Multiple MAC postseason tournaments eliminated, basketball divisions scrapped, 20 game hoops conference schedule https://www.wtol.com/amp/article/sports/major-changes-coming-to-mid-american-conference/512-0e4f0d45-546b-432f-89a1-67a5a6d8fe3c?__twitter_impression=true
  8. In any case I don't think that would be the first place anyone would be seeing the news.
  9. Canceled is the correct version in the US of A if that's what you're getting at
  10. Nope we were on the visitors side but the sun felt good for mid November. We had a great time. Stadium is beautiful and proves you don't need a 100k seat stadium for a good time in CFB. It's a different animal when the draw is Clemson, NC State, Louisville, FSU each year.. Nothing special though that we couldn't do. Need an AD with a vision to make it a fun experience, but the weekday games have to go for that. I surely don't have the answers but I'm also sure that our product and attendance for our market is not nearly as good as it can be.
  11. I went to the Pitt game at Wake in 2018 and there were as many Pitt fans as Wake. Was just like being at a Zips game ?
  12. Also from Spins article Rather, most conferences have draft orders. So where you see "Big 12 2 vs. Pac-12 2" in the Alamo Bowl, that doesn't mean that the second-place teams in those leagues play each other. It means the Alamo gets the second pick of the non-Playoff teams in both leagues. Whether it actually picks the second place team is a different matter
  13. Whoops didn't mean to quote Spin too.
  14. Yep that's the order they get to pick. Our champ went to the Lending Tree Bowl last year, and Boca the year before, which is the same bowl we went to in 2017 when it wasn't even a MAC affiliated bowl.
  15. So where does the MAC champ go?
  16. MAC-1 means the first MAC bowl gets their pick of MAC teams. Then down the line. They don't have to follow standings, and rarely do
  17. Thanks. From your article. "For the most part, conference bowl tie-ins aren't pegged to specific spots in the league standings"
  18. Okay I'll play along. Do you have the bowl order by conference standings available?
  19. The ignore feature is your friend
  20. Conference records have absolutely nothing to do with bowl eligibility. Yes they have conference tie-ins. I don't believe there's much use in engaging you anymore
  21. We just went through it with baseball.. I'm not sure the specifics but it's probably out there somewhere being so recent. It terminated immediately IIRC
  22. Perhaps if there was one scholarship athlete on campus. But I think there are incremental costs of having hundreds of them on campus.. probably not to the level of the scholarship value but resources have to be spent to care for that many. On top of that they get some additional items like their tutors and academic support that not all students get
  23. Just because you keep saying it doesn't mean it's true. Link?
