I thought that was only if his own team is being considered. Besides, all the decisions are interconnected. You can't just be out of the room for only when a team from your conference is being seeded, because so many other factors and decisions are indirectly influencing that decision.

Akron played their best all around game last night. They are peaking at the perfect time.

The effect is only temporary. Come next year we'll be right back where we started: having to earn the respect of the local fans.Still, it will be awesome to see all the people who normally ignore us go out and buy Akron gear or hold conversations about "their" team.

We had two years of experience in the title game heading into this game, and it showed. The MAC does not allow it. They put all the security guards in the building in front of the main group of Akron fans.I don't get it. Every other conference lets it happen, even if they technically "forbid" it. Hell, they wouldn't even let Nate's parents out on the floor to give him a hug.

Something that caught my eye, and KD mentioned in the papers: It's been 23 years since we were last in the NCAA tournament, this was our 23rd win of the season, #23 Brett McKnight was the leading scorer, and KD's career is owed to another #23 that was in attendance at the Q: The King himself, Lebron James. I think that tonight KD has officially surpassed Bob Huggins as the greatest Zips basketball head coach of the D-I era. Now don't rest on your laurels, because on thursday you're likely going up against one of the top teams in the country.
