  1. The Lady Zips play CMU tonight at 7:30. There is hope, as 2-14 Buffalo knocked off 10-6 NIU earlier today. I know that the Zips are fully capable of pulling off a win tonight.
  2. That's the answer. That's also the reason the online video on the MAC website sucked. Since there was no TV on Tuesday, nobody outside northern Ohio will have any idea that such a thrilling game took place.
  3. The cheers could be heard from miles around.
  4. Akron games seem to have more fouls called on both teams than what seems appropriate. Many of our opponents get more fouls called when they're playing us than in any other game, and we average something like 30 fouls per game right along with them.I don't know of any other team in the country that gets both themselves and their opponents treated that way. Sure, more physical teams get more fouls called on them, but to get them called on the other team as well?
  5. I'll be there at least for the last two games. Maybe I'll show up and heckle Can't for a while, too. I would rather spend the time during the noon game catching up on some sleep.
  6. I saw it and though "ouch, nice dig".I mean, it may be a little bit weak because no one shoots 100% and thus it can always be used, but still, let's not get sensitive. Low class would say "yo mama so ugly"actually, that would be funny too. I did not like the flushing during the free throws ONLY because it was like having two strobe lights on. flushing signs aren't the issue, rather the speed and colors they picked. I was secretly hoping someone would have an epileptic seizure just to make them stop. It's only a matter of time before they get sued for that.
  7. Discipline? By a coach at Can't? Have we entered a new era?
  8. I don't think anybody (not even the MAC officials) knew what they were doing when figuring out the seeds.
  9. Will be there! A little bit of rain isn't enough to stop me.
  10. The hillside holding up the street will collapse if the RB is demolished.
  11. If anybody is worried about the game tomorrow selling out before you can get tickets, this would be the perfect opportunity to pick them up.Also, since Miami beat BG, they went and screwed up all the tie-breaker scenarios. I'm not sure how it works out, but there's a possibility of a 4-way tie for 2nd place in the East now.
  12. How long can he take before he makes a decision? Is there a deadline date that he has to inform whatever school he chooses? There is, but I'm not sure what that date is. It has to be coming up soon.
  13. As of right now, I have no idea where anybody will be sitting at the Q. I do know that each of the 12 teams usually gets their own slice of the seats. If you're buying tickets from the JAR ticket office, you'll end up in UA's allotted section. If you're buying them when you get the the Q, I'm not sure how that works.
  14. All we can do is beat Can't, then hope the rest of the chaos happens to fall into place for us.
  15. Very few people know what this game means for the program. If you would have told me at the beginning of the season that the final game of the regular season would mean something for the women's basketball team, I would have laughed at you. But here we are, getting ready to face Can't on the road, in almost the exact same position as the men's team. That's right: if the lady Zips can pull off a win at Can't (and if BG beats OU, which is almost guaranteed), they will earn the #4 seed and a bye in the MAC tournament. For women's bball, the top two teams in each division get byes, and Akron would finish 2nd in the East behind BG.Anybody that can get to this game should. Tipoff is at 4:00PM on Saturday, and the game's on FSN Ohio (but you should be there). This is the most important game this team has had in a very long time. Come out and show your support.
  16. The West holds the key to everything. If there's a 3-way tie over there, Akron gets the 3-seed. If Ball State wins then Buffalo gets knocked out via tiebreaker and the process repeats giving Akron the 3-seed once again via tiebreakers.I believe the only ways we can get the top seed is if we're only tied with Miami and there's a 3-way tie in the West, or if Buffalo wins and BG loses on Sunday.
  17. I like that it went to OT. Gives us a better chance against them on Sunday.
  18. This is quite possibly the youngest/least experienced overall conference in the country in terms of both players and coaches. Give it some time before we decide to make the jump. Besides, football is what will drive any conference realignments in the future.
  19. Players like that shouldn't be allowed on the team. You play to win, or you go home.
  20. Does it involve a school from a rectangular state? Colorado needs to play a game at a MAC school, and we can always drop USD. It makes perfect sense, which means that the MAC office will screw it all up by forcing one of the other MAC schools to drop a game, creating a never-ending chain of teams being dropped by MAC schools until we end up with the least desirable home game in the country.Whoever gets Colorado gets a home game on ESPN. The ESPN, not one of the "ESPN network" channels. It would likely be played on a Friday, but the only time I like weekday games is when we're on a major channel. We need this stadium to be showcased to the nation.
  21. When Zeke is on the court at Akron, he will need to want the ball. He has to demand it. I'm sure KD and Boals will work with him on that.
  22. no, but they are nice! I'd love to see that model in person tho...It looks like these pics were taken in the Student Union in the 3rd floor offices.
  23. We'll get right on that as soon as Gary Waters grows a pair and schedules us.
  24. The fact of the matter is that we don't have room for another QB. Has everybody blocked out the 2007 season from their memories (I can't really blame you if you did)? We all saw what happens when you have a bunch of QBs with no experience all trying to get the starting job: everybody who doesn't win the spot transfers out.Unless one of our three underclassman QBs transfers, we have absolutely no need for another one to come in unless they're guaranteed to get the starting job the minute they set foot on campus because they're miles ahead of the competition. Threet is not at that level.
  25. And we have a three way battle between a guy who can't muster a winning record in one of the worst conferences in NCAA Football and two guys who have never taken a DI snap.Pardon me if I think a guy, as a true freshman in the Big Ten, that is 6'6'' and has a good and live arm could work with our team. I mean, all we can get are 2-star QBs, why take a guy who was highly touted? You're right, that makes no sense....He is only good for DIAA, lol... :lol:First of all, if he came here he would have to sit for a year as a transfer. Second of all Partick Nicely, Jordan Miller, and Matt Rodgers were all rated as three-star QBs and nationally ranked. This guy led Michigan to their worst season in school history and doesn't think he can make the starting job next year on a 3-9 team.
