The guy's averaging 38.7 fouls called per game! That's insane.

JD worked as the OC at Pitt under Walt. I have to think they would be pretty much on the same page as to where they want the offense to be. I would expect dramatic improvement in the QBs this year, between Shane (who developed Big Ben as the coordinator at Miami) and Harris.

Will there be a press release? Maybe they're waiting for position coaches to be hired.

Harris was the guy who recruited Luke Getsy to Pitt. He knows QBs.

Keep in mind that Harris to Akron is still unconfirmed. Keep your fingers crossed, though.

So now the "buzz" is that Montgomery and Harris are somehow going to be Co-Coordinators?

I say he's a good hire. If his players hated him, well that doesn't really matter. His job is to make the offense work, not to be friends with the players. I think all the players with attitude problems have already been weeded out over the past few years. He already knows the MAC environment extremely well, and he knows how to win in it. Too bad we likely aren't playing Miami again next season.One thing I like is that this move shows we are serious about winning and about bringing this program to legitimacy. Good teams hire coaches like this as coordinators. In fact, Montgomery might be the highest profile coach coming in that we've had since a certain guy from Notre Dame.
