Yeah..we were at the Can't game last year. The atmosphere was C-R-A-Z-Y!!! Can't wait to see everyone again. Just found out that my cousin, whom I've never met...long story....is a student at CAN'T...YUCK!!!

Hi there Dr. Z.....Thanks for finding those articles. I didn't know they were out there. As for the Trib (they really don't like us (us being McKeesport) and specifically Zeke). That article was done simply because he did the triple double. I'm not worried though about their lack of coverage because like I said he will be on the cover of ESPN Mag in Feb.

HI all.....Zeke is really excited and very humbled by this all...ESPECIALLY the ESPN deal. His TRIPLE DOUBLE was just amazing...he took control of the game and did what he was suppose to do...PLAY ZEKE BALL!!! To answer those questions....Z.I.P. --NO Zeke doesn't have a YouTube page and he actually doesn't want one. He isn't into all of that and is actually a very private person. Hi all..HAPPY NEW YEARS to the ZipNation!!! I know its been awhile since I've posted anything. Zeke is doing great...we had an AWESOME holiday break and now its back to business. Well, as the title states...Zeke had his first TRIPLE DOUBLE---They played against Penn Hills (a section rival) and although they won 67-63..they should have won by more than 4 points...but a WIN is a WIN!!!!His stats: 25 POINTS15 REBOUNDS10 BLOCKS It was a sight to behold....There will be an article about the game probably tomorrow or Monday. AND GUESS WHAT ZIPFANS????????????? YOU READY FOR THIS.............................................................. ZEKE WILL BE FEATURED ON THE COVER OF ESPN MAGAZINE IN FEB.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah.....you read right...ESPN MAGAZINE...BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They will be doing the photo shoot this Wednesday. I'll let you all know how it goes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He talked with their reporter for about 45 mins. and his coach talked to the reporter for about an hour. We are soooooo excited. ABSOLUTELY...as a matter of fact...Zeke, his stepdad and his little sister will be at the NC A&T home game on the 13th, which is also Zeke's 18th birthday I unfortunately have a previous engagement on the same day and will actually be in Dayton, OH on that day.. However, we will also be at the Can't State doubleheader (I'm trying to bring up Zeke's cousin who plays for our girls team so she can watch the girls play and of course we would NEVER...EVER...miss a Can't vs. Akron matchup). Those are the two that we've scheduled thus far..the rest we will figure out as both seasons progress.Thanks for asking!!!!PS..make sure you wish Zeke a happy 18th on the 13th when he comes up!!!

WOW!!! You guys are on your job...I was just getting ready to post the link myself. Zip2Go you beat me to the punch...Interesting article...but very true. Wait until you all see him now...he is REALLY looking good. Just ask Coach Boals, who came to the school to watch him practice when the team was here. Zeke is working really hard in the weight room and I've been encouraging him to always remember that HE is a leader and EVERYONE will be looking to him to produce on the court...which Zeke is beginning to understand, accept and respond.Talk with you guys soon.Mom

I LOVE IT.... That is HILARIOUS...I wish I was there. As most of you know..Zeke had his first scrimmage last night. It was OK. Perhaps because I'm biased and therefore more critical, I wasn't too thrilled with Zeke's performance. He did extremely well on the defensive boards...as to be expected. But offensively he has to get into the practice of going after EVERYTHING coming off the boards and also going after his own shot. As a team, however, they need to work on "gelling" together AND they need to GIVE ZEKE THE FREAKIN BALL!!! which is another issue that has plagued him since 10th grade. For whatever reason, the PG's hate to give Zeke the ball on the inside and by the time they do he as, at least, 3 defenders surrounding him and there is almost nothing he can do....either way, there is ALOT of work that needs to be done with this team. IF they pull it together and work together they will most certainly be champions both in WPIAL and PIAA.

don't worry...although Zeke does have a myspace page it is set to private..heck I can't even find it. Zeke is very, very private even with his myspace page.But the great thing about Zeke is that he really doesnt give a flying **** what people think about him or what they say. Hey look at how he reacted to people when he committed to UofA....he didnt really care.

This is what I've taught Zeke...NEVER BE TO IMPRESSED WITH ANYBODY OR ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That way playing against a team like Pitt or anybody else for that matter won't be so intimidating to him and it won't cause him to be off focused. I do recognize the fact that he may feel "fear", "jitters", "nerves" and things like that...but as he learns how to control his emotions and play HIS game the way he knows how he won't have to worry about any other opponent. I think if the team learns that lesson we won't have to worry about how they are going to respond to teams like BG, Can't or anybody else. BTW...I know there is a game tonight..at the JAR...Zeke is having his first scrimmage tonight. Should be interesting. He has been lifting 4 days a week, working real hard. I can't wait to see how McKeesport does tonight....so I'll miss the Zips game. AK ROWDIES...send a shout out for me and Zeke!!!!! I'll post tonight how he and the team looks.HOLLA

I would have to agree with ZippyforPresident's observations....I think the first half's lack of luster was due to nerves and the like...Blair is a beast and was hard to handle...but i think once they got through the half and realized that they can play with Pitt...they stepped up their game.I was glad to see B. McKnight do his thing tonight...it was sweet and I was also impressed with Humpty...and Nickola. Just give these guys a little more time to mesh and meld together and watch out..its going to be glorious. I just finished reading some comments on the Pitt blogs and even they were "generous" in their comments concerning Akron. Everyone knows that this team is young and inexperienced but just hold on....its only going to take a minute. Their confidence is getting stronger and better everyday and after this...although they lost...I believe we are going to see a more confident, mature team emerge. On a side note...It was soooo nice seeing all of the Zips fans tonight. Thanks for the hellos, hand shakes, waves and the such. Zeke was glad to see so many of you...and for those of you who we didnt get a chance to say hello too...know that we appreciate you all very much and remember...DECEMBER 13 -- the NC A&T game is Zeke's 18th Birthday...and he, my husband and Rhema will be there..unfortunately I have an engagement in Dayton that same weekend...so Zip Nation, AK Rowdies and family...show the big guy much love when he comes there.
