I may be a bit biased but i really think we should be in the top 5, if not even at the #2 spot. Some of those teams are not very good, and we are a lot better than that record indicates.and why aren't there any A10 or C-USA Schools on there, aren't they considered mid-major? I mean I would never consider schools like Fordham, Duquesne, Richmond, and Charlotte to be "major" schools hahaif we played the way we did during the second part of the season we'd wipe the floor with most teams in A10 and CUSA, except of course Memphis...

I see no reason Huggins would leave his alma mater WV of the BigEast, to drop down and coach in the A10. It would be like Coach K leaving to coach at Can't lol

we could always change our colors and I think a lot of people at akron would like to see this...we would look very similar to the greatest college football team in the world!

people just need to stop referring to OSU. We are not OSU, nor do I ever want to be anything like them. We are the Zips, not the suckeyes. If you want things to be like that school down south, just go there instead!!! We need to just do our own thing...

You didn't chose to live in the Gooch again next year, did you?If I were going to stay on campus, I'd rather live in Exchange or at least somewhere in the North Quad. Does anyone know if there will be designated tailgating areas on campus. A bunch of us were just planning on tailgating in the Gallucci parking lot and I wasn't sure if that would be allowed...

yes the wireless is a joke, i live in Gallucci too and some days I cannot even connect. Its ridiculous and even if I get connected it disconnects, then reconnects about every 5 min.I'm sure no one is trying to improve it since i lived here last year and it was just as bad....

Wow. That is very intense! I don't know if I like the idea of coming out to a sound tract though. Not when you've got a marching band on the field already.The Zips have to come out to a sound track. sorry to say but the crowd/team will not get too pumped just hearing the band. VT is a good example, but South Carolina has by far the best entrance in college football. you have to go about halfway through the video...

I'd rather be in C-USA. Its a better place to be if we ever want to make the jump to a BCS conference like the BigEast. As far as I know no teams have ever jumped from the MAC to the BCS, but Cincy, Louisville, South Florida, Depaul, and Marquette all came out of C-USA. I'm sure Memphis and maybe even Central Florida will move up in the near future. But if any school deserved to move up from the MAC straight to the Big East Akron does...I think that being more geographically dispersed is better, we would be exposed to more people and could be playing schools all over the eastern states, as opposed to just playing in the small area that the MAC covers. I want out of the MAC AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! i don't care if its just C-USA. We just need to avoid the A10 and conferences like that, even though they are strong in basketball, they would be a step down...Even though the BCS didn't exist at the time, what about Michigan State?I didn't really do any research, but the wikipedia article about the MAC deosnt have MSU listed under "former members"Oh, well I'm sure they know more there than at the MAC office.I never said you were wrong I was just saying where I got my info from...

i kind of hope they get rid of the big inflatable helmet they had at the rubber bowl...i always thought it was a bit cheesy. they gotta keep the fireworks tho, even use more!

haha the Tullio Arena home of the Otters, Bayhawks, and Riverrats!!!! Not the nicest arena but it will be renovated in a few years, something just like that would be fine, maybe with a little more seats.

I just feel like there are too many teams in division one. It should just be the bigeast, bigten, big12, sec, acc, pac10, mac, wcc, wac, and c-usa. I really don't care about schools like morehead state and steven f. austin? and i'm sure 75% of america feels the same way. It is nice to see a cinderella story but some of these teams that make it in are kind of a joke...like i go places where people don't know anything about akron sports, it's nice to now say that we had a strong team this year and made it to the tournament, then it kind of makes it seem insignificant when i see these small schools in it too, we would beat some of these schools by 50pts...
