  1. The Zips live by the 3ball...if this kid can shoot well, we'll be alright
  2. you know what, now that LeFevour is no longer a MAC rival, I wish him the best of luck. How lucky to be able to play for the team you grew up watching. I expect him to compete for Cutler's starting position within a couple years, especially if Cutler has a year like he did last year. I don't understand why guys are making fun of him here. We should want conference members to make it to the NFL. It brings cred to the MAC. We need all the cred we can get the MAC. So do you root for #7 from Pittsburgh? 2x Rapist, 1x motorcycle stunt man, all-time douchebag
  3. it is required right now! we need a new facility. No reason to spend another penny fixing up the JAR denial isn't just a river in egypt TW
  4. Well LeFever keeps dropping in this draft...so funny Round 6 (181) to the Bears had about 10 QB's picked before him...guess he wasn't all that great. Mel Kiper compared him to Chad Pennington who apparently had a good NFL career?
  5. They sure found the creepers to interview didn't they? g's Wait........So you didn't find this sassy woman attractive?
  6. I'm thinking akron should do something to switch up their soccer jerseys. I think a gold jersey would be cool, just so we don't see the all-white at home all the time.
  7. If a conference had Buffalo and Toledo in it, there's no way it would be a decent FBS conference The same could be said about Akron, sadly. The only advantage we have is our facilities. You can't help but laugh when you look at all the rest of the MAC compared to us. I think we have lots of advantages, and I think we can get strong. But you need to keep in mind that Toledo just built a nice indoor facitlity for football, and they still get some nice opponents coming to the Glass Bowl. They have a solid history as well..and then some really bad stuff recently. Buffalo, if the Bills move, could become the main football program in that town. And, I get the feeling they will improve their facilities even more in the future. Well you can say that we are the main football program for our town and actually Buffalo is not very much bigger than Akron. I know they are both in the 200,000s

  10. Traveling to games would be a lot better if we were in C-USA. You're telling me weekend trips to Athens and Oxford are better than Houston, Orlando, Memphis, El-Paso, and Dallas? that's crazy! no one wants to go to away games in some of these ghost towns MAC schools are located in.
  11. CUSA is a million times better and would be more national exposure. They have teams all over the eastern states. Memphis would be a better rival than Can't...
  12. true. we are stuck in this peace of crap conference forever and there's nothing we can do to change that. sad but true... That doesn't mean we can't acknowledge that we would like to shoot for something better. At least make a public push to get into C-USA. Let the MAC know that they're not doing enough to make us want to stay. All I want is to see some actual evidence to back up their "thinking beyond the MAC" crap that they've been preaching. So far, all I've seen when it comes to thinking beyond the MAC is administrators jumping at the chance to get out of the MAC. Nobody at a high level but Dr. Proenza actually plans to elevate the school to a higher level, instead they just elevate themselves and their resumes and jump ship. facebook group? haha

  14. Those are probably the brightest jerseys I have ever seen. I wonder why they want to look like mr. yuk?
  15. I sure hope they are wearing different white jerseys this year...those one's look awful! especially because they are so much different than the blue
  16. To be fair I think the spring game was more meaningful than a joke postseason tournament haha
  17. Those of us living out of the Akron area need an update on this issue. Did the AC really came on on the 15th? No it's not on. But I apologize for this going off topic, I'm sure most people don't care about the AC haha
  18. It will be open by the opener against syracuse, but I feel like the merchandise will be disappointing...
  19. You think Kest would be willing to coach the men's team too? haha jk sorry KD I think the attitude of the department is reflected in being able to retain coaches like Kest and Porter when the "big guys come calling"? This is awesome news, good luck Coach Kest, keep up the good work! Yeah, I'm tired of Akron being a "stepping stone", but until we get out of the MAC that's all we'll be. The only think that will keep some of these coaches is $$$.
  20. ? Not sure what you mean, they just don't turn the AC on until May. That's typical because of how the heating works, if they switch it off it takes a long time to get the steam heat back up and running. I mean what your saying may be true but I'm kinda tired of only 3 hours of sleep at night in the dorm because of the heat, I'm getting a bit irritated haha
  21. You think Kest would be willing to coach the men's team too? haha jk sorry KD
  22. I'm not sure if that makes any difference when it comes to energy efficiency. But UA has outlawed the use air conditioning across campus for some reason. So that should be saving them tons of money.
  23. I wish they would have put shops on the first floor like they did with the exhange dorms. I just noticed the UA at the top (near the main entrance) great touch!
  24. PG's: McNees, Hitchens, Abreu SG's: Roberts, McClanahan SF's: McKnight, Green, Diggs PF's: Cvetinovic, Egner, Euton C's: Zeke, Bardo Starters in the first spot. The forwards will be interesting, Egner can slash quite a bit so he could play some small. I'd like to see Hitchens, McNees, McKnight, Cvetinovic, and Zeke start
