Yep, but looking at the roster he's 6'1 285, and with his foot speed that makes for a pretty quality DT. I'm betting that defensive line is pumped up with the new staff and change of scheme. I'm looking for some QB pressure this year and it starts right up front on the line. We might actually have a chance to control the line of scrimmage on D!!!

I've watched enough of Rodgers and enough or PN16 to know that our starting QB will be PN16. I've been on the PN16 bandwagon since the first time I saw him throw at PSU. PS I'm not even sure Rodgers will be #2 when all is said and done.

For me, it comes down to demographics. Consider the crowd that you are entertaining. If you go to a Madonna concert, expect to see male dancers, if you turn on the Emmy's expect to see male dancers. The crowd that attends mens college basketball games is not expecting to see male dancers. Sure a guy has the right to dance and may be just as good as a female, but I prefer to be entertained by female dancers at a mens college basketball game. Especially that coo-coo Ken+ dancer a few years back.

I would hope that OU keeps all it's players and coach, and becomes a better team next year. I hope every team in the MAC follows suit by getting better. I hope Akron plays better and is coached better than every team in the MAC. I hope to someday watch good MAC basketball. I don't want good players to leave the MAC, I want more good players to come to the MAC.

I have a KD suggestion. I have seen this done by other teams, so I understand that it is an accepted defensive move....but I HATE it. Guard has the ball at the top of the three point line, Zeke comes up top to double team the guard. Stop doing it Keith. One, I have never seen it create a turnover, two, it gets Zeke out of position to defend the paint, and three, IMO you are taking away what I think is our best defensive weapon...Zeke blocking an inside shot. Like I said, I've seen it done before. Example; Zydrunas Ilgauskas did it all the time with the Cavs, I have never seen it work for him either.

Another important date for Zip football fans is April 17, which is a Saturday, when Akron will host its annual spring football game. This year, the game will move outside to InfoCision Stadium-Summa Field (weather permitting) and is set to begin at Noon. VMD's refusal to believe that Cooper is a player reminds me of when Boykins used to beat us up year after year. His first year I refused that little squirt could beat us, then he did it again, and AGAIN, AND AGAIN! I'm happy OU is getting recognized, they deserve it. I used to watch a lot of talent in the MAC. That has faded big time. I'm looking forward to watching OU and hope they push the rest of the MAC to get better players. Specifically AKRON.

+1 I support KD. I don't want him canned. I don't think we can get a better person for his position (right now). Now that being said, it is time that KD goes outside his comfort zone and start to try to beat different teams different ways. This is not St Vs anymore. The kids are not going to carry you every game. We need him and his staff to work more efficient and creative with the talent that is on our team. Tough choice for a young man. It'll be interesting how it plays out for him. Zips fans are going to have to be patient on this situation. I wish him luck.
