I let complaining about mac basketball referring go about 5 years ago. Mac refs stink, they don't cheat for one team, they just stink. I have learned that I notice more about the game and the players when I don't focus on the referees. It helps me enjoy the game more. It might be sad, but it helped me.

I give up.

I like what Dambrot said he told the kids about Fridays game. Something like, as big as this game is on Friday, the next one will be bigger.

A 20 year old kid gets to play the game of basketball for 28 minutes on a Saturday afternoon. Sounds fun to me. The bus ride there and back will wear them out more. Plus or minus 9 or so minutes of playing time isn't going to make a hoot of difference for being "rested"...especially with Dambrot's rotations.Post game interview with Steve French today. I would like to have a word with the person who designed that pamphlet they made for the event... What didn't you like about it? Didn't look that bad to me.It looks like a 10 year old made it in Microsoft Paint. Honestly, that is a little embarrassing how bad that is. You think they could have spent 20 minutes and made it look nice.I don't understand why these type of things aren't given to upper class design students. There are 60 good designers dying to put pieces in their portfolio.Is 'Design at 9' still around? Knowing the way these things go, somebody told some assistant they needed an ad for this by 5 pm. Assistant opens up Microsoft Word (death to good design), cut and pastes in some photos and info, bam, you got another design nightmare by somebody that has no training in design. 50 percent of the people that look at it will say, "I don't see anything wrong with it" Now have a real designer work on it, show that same person the result and that person says "wow that looks awesome" Point is, if you use talent to create, you will get much better results with your message.

I'm pretty sure KD was speaking specifically about Buffalo. It's hard to tell since I only have 3 sentences of the quote pulled from Rasor's site. My guess is that the minutes stay true to EXACTLY what KD has done the last month. Unless there is some crazy match up with BG that I am unaware of, or an injury occurs. I have never been for sitting an athlete to get them "rest". If they need rest, they aren't conditioned proper. I would think every player in the college basketball can play 28 minutes per game at this time of the season without needing "rest" to play in the next game which is SIX days away. At this point and time of the season they should be focused on playing the rotation they are going to play in the mac tournament to get more experience playing together. I think that is WAY more important than getting "rest" If someone is mentally tired, give them a day off of practice, not time off in the game. You can never simulate game time experience.

I used to agree, but I'm starting to come around to GoZips line of thinking. I think we may have a pg on this team. Both Ronnie and Humpty need more game time at the point to get comfortable at the position. They have skills needed to play the position. I wish they would have got it at the beginning of the year. Mistake IMO.

ITZ, I liked your story on Lee buying the championship rings in the Chase thread. IMO both coaches were similar in the fact that they couldn't put a defense together to stop MAC teams.

I'm pretty sure nobody thought that a dead 101 year old Scatman Crothers rose from the grave to sing 'Scatman'. Now here is where the humor comes in. Reggie, looks like Scatman Crothers, there is a song called 'Scatman'. Now I'll give you, Scatman Crothers doesn't sing it. But if you play a song called 'Scatman', during a timeout a few clever people will appreciate it.Most won't, but some may even enjoy the song. I looked it up in my Hong Kong Book of Kung Fu.

Ease up Rugby, "g" and the "n" are pretty close on the keyboard. Seems like a harmless mistake. I bet Josh is tough and can take it. I fixed it just in case, I would hate to see all the coaching staff's hard recruiting work go to waste.
