I respectfully disagree. I peosonally know people that live in that area(N. Randall, Maple Hts, Ecuid). that did not have a choice but to go to Beachwood/Legacy because of Randall closing and refused to shop at Southgate(a godzilla sizes stip plaza). Like I said eariler, Crocker does well because of the location, not because of the demo there. I used to go to Gameworks all the time and it took me over an hour to get there, so I would have to make it a day trip. Beachwood does have the income, but it is a huge regional draw(like you stated) because there is not a lot of options on the East Side of Cleveland for malls. Belden does well because the only other mall in that area is Canton Center, and I am not even sure if they are still open.

Hold on, If I am traveling that far to do anything, it is for a reason. Crocker Park does well because it is very, very far away on the West Side and you HAVE to make it a day trip from Akron. Beachwood Place does well because its direct competition(Randall Park Mall), closed. Also, GP1, if you are going to use "Southern Summit County has the heaviest population," The first thing I ask is draw a line across 224, then look at census data on every community south. There is almost no way that can be possible. Bottom line, if a Sin Tax is even on the table, all we have to do is look at what happened to the County north of us. I watched a couple of days ago the WEWS video on the Sin Tax. I don't want that. Also, the one thing that noone seems to be talking about is the Civic. I promise you if they pecive this even be remotely a threat, the Akron Community Foundation(and they have serious weight) will jump in on this. If it ever get to that point, this whole ballot is D.O.A. in November.

There is one thing that caught my attention. I was reading the article in the Beacon and I saw this: “What are you trying to do, intimidate me?” He may have been joking, but taking a swipe at one of the few nationally know and respected professors in his field(John Green) is NOT to win anyone over! Myself included!

I know that this is a sub-topic, but I will start one anyway. For those of you that was at the spring game this weekend: What did you think? I know that the Defense is always way, way ahead of the offense. However, other than one big run, I seen nothing, IMO. Am I wrong? Are they holding everything close to the vest? Am I paranoid? For the record, I have video of the game(I am surprised that noone posted this yet). Too early to tell? Just wondering….. The Game

It can be done. It us all about the people with the vision. Look at it like this: Basketball and Soccer is there. Football is the driver and we are getting there.

AAC is not totally a pipe dream. All they seem to care about at the moment is television markets. I remember when the (then) Big East had their indoor track here and I remember the talk then. At least they were at the very least "snooping around." I ideal case, IMO would be the following: -Football only to the AAC -Soccer to be independent -All others to A-10(not sure what Rifle would do)

For me, it is at least have something education-wise to bring to the table(via time doing it. I am all for going outside the box). However, why hire someone with no school experience unless you KNOW that he will suceed? If it came all the way down to that, I would rather have someone in-house, of even Gordon Gee, and I cannot even believe I am throwing out that name!

If he becomes President(which I am against) there is no way he goes back to coaching. The University would put a cluase against that.

I play along……... Howard The first game of the year and should be a win! Penn State Do anyone realize that they Play Central Florida in London(as in England, not Ontario) before they play the Zips? This would be the game to win. Will they, not sure, but its winnable. Marshall As this will probably be the only game I will attend this year(because of all of the Tuesday games), one thing keeps popping into my head. Fan Support. This could quickly turn into a Marshall Home Game because their fans will travel to Akron. People need to show up for this one! We will win, but by how close. Pitt Once upon a time, Pitt was a power in Football. Not anymore. I see this as a win assuming that Pitt plays this as a throw away game and the Defense gets it done! Eastern Michigan Homecoming and it's Eastern! Talk about the stars aligning for this one! Miami Last season, they was one of the worst teams in the country. This season, still bad but improving! Ohio IMHO, their reign of terror is over and we will finally win one, In Athens of all places! Ball State and Bowling Green Both teams will be Top Level in the MAC, its a good thing that we don't play Toledo this year. Calling them both losses, but could split. Buffalo Will the real Buffalo please stand up. Other than that bogus call durning the Ohio game last season, their record was a product of the schedule. Unless it is a blizzard there, it's a win! UMASS This game scares me. This will be right in the middle of the four strait Tuesday games and they are better. I am just hoping that fans will show up for this one! Its a win, but be careful. Can't State In all honesty, I wish that this was the Black Friday game. Going out to Can't, on a Tuesday Night Before Thanksgiving=Ghost Town. Can't State is back to being……well…...Can't State in Football again. With no Archer does not help. You will see EMU-type numbers in the stands! Its a win, but will anybody see it?
