This is a completely different team if Pohl plays. I know it's crazy to consider after this weekend and I'm not personally predicting this will happen, but if the Zips can pull off a win over BG on the 4th the MAC Championship game is still a possibility.

I can't see KD starting two freshmen, and Robotham looks like the starter at PG. That, coupled with Kretzer's leadership and all-around solid play leads me to expect him to start at wing. I'd expect Deji to start at the 2 - he's better than Nyles, bringing Reggie off of the bench for Kretzer would provide the Zips with a deep threat at all times, and, again, I don't think KD starts with two freshmen. I do think two freshmen could start by the end of the year, just not to start things out. By the MAC Tournament I think we'll see Johnson/Tree/Kretzer/Gladden/Robotham starting with Forsythe/Cheatham/McAdams/Ibitayo/Jackson as the 2nd unit.

I agree with all of your points and I'll add Antino Jackson to the "Wild Cards" section. I initially assumed he'd redshirt but I am hearing some really, really good things about him. I'd also add to having a season free of off-court issues. Harney last year, Abreu/Diggs the year before...we can't have players getting into crap outside of basketball that affects the team.

I'd like to discuss the roster, rotation, and depth chart as the season nears. I think this is how we'll start: Johnson/Forsythe Treadwell/Cheatham Kretzer/McAdams Ibitayo/Gladden/Aa. Jackson/Evans Robotham/An. Jackson/Betancourt I also think Gladden will be the starter over Deji sooner rather than later.

Emmanuel announced via Twitter tonight. Rivals lists Olojakpoke as a center although he's 6'7". He is from Cypress, Texas and was a high school teammate of Antino Jackson. Here's a video of Emmanuel in action. Here's a video interview of both Antino and Emmanuel from December 2013.

Cavaliers preseason tickets went on sale today at all Drug Mart locations. The first preseason game at the Q is against Maccabi Tel Aviv, who Nate signed with last month. As someone who doubted Nate when he was a freshman, I am thrilled he proved me wrong. He may be the most successful professional Zip of the Dambrot Era.

Josh Egner was a cancer to the program, and it had nothing to do with his basketball ability.

I'm not sure getting drilled by by 20 at Kansas is going to be the difference between this team making a run or not. You're not going to get many teams in the 30-60 range that want to play you. So you're left with good mid-majors and low-end BCS teams, which is what this schedule features. Whomever holds the position that Akron plays "nobody" because they don't want to needs to investigate the number of teams that turn Akron down year after year.

This one is frustrating. An incredibly winnable game and they're going to let them off the hook.
