  1. Are we any worse off now without him? Some of our young and hungry guys can now get more carries.
  2. don't put in on your card yet. We still possibly have to beat them. I jinxed it
  3. Skyway onion rings yummmm...just had them for dinner tonight. wait is Skyway being built or not? I'm confused... According to the Summit County Recorder's office, the parcel on the NE corner of Exchange and Spicer transferred to UA Trustees on 18 Dec 2009. Perfect site for a real on-campus, multi-purpose, "Screw You Mayor, First Energy, University of Akron Arena. He and his "Joe Akrons" can call it a downtown arena just like they call everything north of North Canton, "Downtown". Why bury it against the highway? They are probably planning to get the remainder of land between the campus and rt. 8 by eminent domain. They are just avoiding headaches by acquiring the land prior to a new business being constructed. The arena would look much better standing on the site of the plasma center anyway.
  4. Can't is such a powerhouse...
  5. Just noticed it is on the bottom of the 2011 recruiting thread.
  6. Big TE http://www.ohiomm.com/blogs/varsity_letter...offers-brewton/
  7. Ou fans were openly cheering against us tonight. They looked dejected when Akron finally pulled out the w. I say bring them on.
  8. Nick and Chris will be rested.
  9. don't put in on your card yet. We still possibly have to beat them.

  11. Ranking in the top 100 business schools (top 5%) is a huge accomplishment and should garner some respect from other institutions in the area. Just look at the schools near us in the rankings. They are some pretty respectable company. I am honored to have graduated from such a highly regarded business program and I tell people about the rankings when talking about our school. http://bwnt.businessweek.com/bschools/unde...mp;resultNum=50
  12. CBA is getting it done! We are better than Xavier and many other private and public big names! This is the second year in a row that the CBA has been in the top 100. Still Can't is nowhere to be found. College of Business Administration ranked by BusinessWeek as one of the top undergraduate programs in U.S. 03/08/2010 The University of Akron’s College of Business Administration (CBA) has been named by Bloomberg BusinessWeek as one of the best undergraduate schools in the nation. In the magazine’s 2010 annual ranking of undergraduate business programs in the United States, UA was ranked in the top 100 nationally and is the only business program at a public university in Northeast Ohio in the top 100. There are more than 1,600 undergraduate business programs in the U.S.Compared to last year, CBA made a big leap from 93 in 2009 to 76 in 2010. In addition, the college was ranked #7 in the U.S. in recruiter satisfaction.BusinessWeek bases the ranking the academic quality of the programs, post-graduation outcomes for students, recruiter satisfaction and nine measures of student satisfaction.Academic quality is calculated by combining SAT scores, student-to-faculty ratios, class size, the percentage of students with internships and the number of hours students devote to coursework. Post-graduation outcomes are measured by median starting salaries for graduates and the number of graduates each programs sends to top MBA programs. For the satisfaction ratings, BusinessWeek surveyed nearly 88,000 graduating seniors on topics ranging from quality of teaching to recreational facilities. They polled more than 700 corporate recruiters for companies that hire thousands of business majors each year. The magazine asked which programs turn out the best graduates, and which schools have the most innovative curricula and most effective career services.“The ranking of CBA by BusinessWeek reflects well on our excellent faculty, staff and students,” says acting CBA dean Ravi Krovi. “Although the pursuit of rankings is not an explicit goal of CBA, we recognize that such rankings provide validation to the quality of our programs and are an important factor for potential students, alumni and the businesses that hire our graduates.” --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  13. 5 bucks from the lady zips. I didn't get a free shirt and I was here an hour early. Nice
  14. Can't sucks even more now than ever.
  15. Do you guys think the game will be broadcast in HD? ESPN2 should have higher standards than FSN.
  16. Thanks for the update. I like the incentives to buy and am excited to see what TW adds to the game day experience.
  17. That was som really deep stuff stz
  18. I stopped by the ticket office Tuesday to buy some tickets and to ask about 2010 season football tickets. I was told that we should be receiving info in the mail this week. They were stuffing envelopes at the time. Ticket prices should remain the same but they kid at the window couldn't confirm an early mover discount like last year's. Just thought I would pass on the info.
  19. Do you think the parody in the MAC is due to the coaches using other MAC programs as a benchmark? They strive to beat other MAC teams and they lower their horizons in the process. Could it be due to a watered down talent pool? Why is the MAC the way it is?
  20. I hope they cover their two games against us.
  21. I saw the camera man there today. He is a slovenly fellow and obviously the "talent" behind all of the great camera work.
  22. No. One thing to be gained (not lost) by playing a tough OOC schedule is ... money. One thing to be lost by playing a tough OOC schedule is ... W/L %.When KD signed his last contract, was his bonus structure heavily weighted towards # of wins. I know most contracts have pie in the sky (NCAA Champ, Final 4 ect.) potential bonuses. He might just be after the low hanging fruit or his philosophy might be slow and steady wins the MAC race. Either way he is getting better each year but TW needs to nudge him in the direction of greater revenue generation and marquee opponents.
  23. http://zipsnation.org/forums//index.php?sh...t=0&start=0so how does next year's schedule look?
  24. Basketball and football are completely different animals. Putting 5 or 6 power conference teams on a basketball schedule would be less of an impact on the entire season than 3 BCS teams in football.
  25. I disagree, I think the first order of business should be holding all of the slum lords accountable for their multiple health and building code violations. THEN deal with the plasma center.Ok you win. I hope they get them both done sooner than later.
