Here's my thought on the blowout by vcu. I have NO problem with them pressing up until the 5 min mark. They could press the whole game for all I care. The point if the game is to score as many points as u can and hold the opponent to as little as possible. I wouldn't want any team to take it easy in us no matter the score. It would be insulting to me. It sucks, yes, but that's just how it is. Besides I recall many posters saying we need to put our foot on many of the cupcakes throats this season and beat them by 40 or more. Why is it any different? Because Shaka and coach D are friends? That's just ridiculous. We got our asses beat by a better team on that night, albeit missing some players, but I'm not gonna cry like a baby about it. If anything, that loss should motivate and make sure it NEVER happens again. I respect coach smart and the vcu program and hope that we could be a 5 seed in the big dance and crush good teams like try did to us.

Although we are in Ohio we are not tOSU. At least they will know who we are from playing them in futbol and that may be to our advantage. Plus they may think they will have an easier shot at beating us over vcu so they will, by default root us on. We Break the press we win going away. Not many teams can handle zeke and tree when they are on the court alone let alone together. They will dominate their smaller players and will show the country who we are. We just stymied one of the best PG in the nation (statistically), who's to say we can't do it again. I have all the confidence in the world in them and they will be ready to flex their muscles. Zips win by 12. WE ARE AKRON!!!!!

The A-10 isn't a mid major conference so vcu and St. Louis aren't mid majors. Gonzaga may be technically a mid major but on the court they are not.

First off, I'd like to mention that I love all the smack talk between teams and fans. That's what a rivalry will bring. I love the competitiveness. People here complain about the support for the team, but when there is smack talk between fans they complain. As long as its harmless I have no problem with any of it and encourage it

The foul was a cheap foul, the technical was bc tree was complaining to the red the whole way down the court. Both very soft fouls. There were horrible calls all night and a lot of no calls. They traveled ALOT in the 2nd half while driving the lane. A few times they traveled and pushed off and no calls. Cmu although a bad team has played well against good competition. They beat wright state, and Niagara and played well against Michigan. Lost by like 14 to UM. Anyway we still have a ways to go, but a win is a win
