Great finish by the Zips. If not for that rough stretch of chucking up quick threes, I feel like this would have been a 30+ point win.

Me too! I was disgusted until I woke up this morning and read a text from a friend who said we rallied in the 4th quarter and won. Great thing to wake up to! Keep it rolling next week in Oxford!
I'm glad I could pick up where I left off and watch the ending on YouTube TV this morning.
It's much more enjoyable watching when you know it ends in a win.

I went to bed when it was 27-10 and woke up to see the Zips won?! Heck yes!

I view Toledo the same way now that I did Akron back in the early 2000s/End of Rubber Bowl era. They win more games and win more titles than Akron did, but the community interest is strong. You can walk into the local businesses and see a lot of Toledo gear, hear people talking about Toledo coaches and players. I used to love that about Akron. Now, when it gets to February and March, people ask me how the Zips did this year or how they're looking for next year, totally unaware of anything. This fanbase is dormant and I can't blame them. I hope it comes back to life one day, but it would take a lot more than a couple of 5 win seasons and a single winning season over 20 years.
I wish this for not only Akron, but every school in the MAC. It's so embarrassing turning on the ESPN mid-week #MACtion games to see 100 people in the crowd. We live in a country where people live and breathe football. The day of the week or current record shouldn't matter. Us Browns fans have been supporting 1-5 win teams our entire life and a lot of us have never lived in Cleveland. Yet, most people who actually attended UA couldn't care less about anything that isn't scarlet and grey.

On the bright side, DJ has found himself again, we at least know who the starting QB will be next week
Yes and the defense seems to be legit. That should be enough to win some games in the MAC. But then again this is Akron....

The Akron Zips - The Cleveland Browns of college football. Losing teams just find ways to lose
The best part about feeling this pain is that I get to go through it tomorrow afternoon as well. Just a great way to spend my weekends.

This team could be 3-1 or even 4-0. But also 0-4 if not for a miracle fumble recovery.
I don't know what to think.

Can the D get us a TD or the ball in a position that generates a near sure score?
This is really the only way Akron wins. I have zero faith in the offense.

Undercuffler single handedly cost us this game. How do you not even throw the ball on 4th down, but also lose that much yardage.

Browns and Zips do have a lot of similarities.
That pick 6 was a nice reminder of that disaster on Monday night. Thanks for that Undercuffler.

A screen pass makes more sense on 3rd and long if you're going to roll the dice on 4th.

That was a good drive. Man we needed that. Defense needs to keep up the intensity now.

Yeah. Big return. They’re gonna get points. Which is exactly why you need a TD there. Absolutely have to keep them out of the end zone here or we’re in deep doo-doo.
Huge stop by the defense. Zips need to just kneel the ball and go into half.

Just like last week, the plays are there. The opponent isn't great. But bad mistakes will cost the Zips a chance to win this game.

DJ had the entire right side of the field wide open if he wanted to run. Still think that rule is so weird. You can toe tap and go forwards and it's a catch. You keep your toe down and touch with your heel and it's out.

It is so painful to know that after I've watched a Saturday of sideline passes, drops, penalties, etc., I get to do it all over again with Stefanski's Browns on Sundays.
Going into every weekend I'm always excited to watch both teams play. I talk myself into thinking this week will be different. After all these years you'd think I'd learn my lesson 😂.

HOW THE $%#! DO YOU DROP THAT ADAMS?!
DJ's best throw of the season and it results in nothing.

Northeast Ohio Football.
Great defenses and absolutely abysmal offenses with terrible QBs.

This offense is BRUTAL to watch.

So we'll miss the only part of the game when the score is actually close 🤣

I've been kicked in the man berries enough for one night. Don't expect the Zips to ever match up well with an SEC team. But someday I'd like to see a competent competitive football team. This team has been the opposite of that for way too long. This season looks like more of the same.
-
I'm shocked that Irons get sacked so much. It's almost like waiting for the playclock to hit 0 every time tells the defense exactly when the ball will be snapped.

At least the Zips got that one field goal.
That was pretty cool.
On to Indiana. I'm sure that will go well.

For some reason I thought Chris Payton Jr was a senior last season. I'm really irritated we have to see his stupid face for another season.
At least Carry is gone.
