I’m OK with our guys being snubbed a bit, selfishly. I would expect less accolades to mean less demand for them in the portal, increasing the chances they stay with us. Last year I believe we literally had every All-MAC player transfer out.

It’s crazy to me how we have 7 players capable of going off and beating you every single night (both Mahaffey’, Tavari, Shammah, Sharron, Lyles and even Hardman). Liking seeing Barre get more time. A true big that can play is going to be important in March.

While I do like the guys we signed. 7 HS recruits is awfully underwhelming.

I assume not anymore with BYU’s coach getting paid. The PSU situation is a disaster (which I personally enjoy). Ohio’s coaching situation is looking pretty juicy as well…curious what’s going on there.

Thought he showed potential, but it seemed clear he was on the staff’s bad side for reasons I am sure were legitimate. Think he’ll end up transferring down.

I’m pretty sure that was my takeaway when the news/numbers first came out. I believe they use some sort of rolling average and my thought at the time was we could get it up for next season, but we’d need close to a miracle. Understand we have money concerns, but I agree with Clark the time to fight it would be been when it was first announced. One less practice a week is a big deal, especially when we might be looking at dealing with it for 3 years (last year, this year, and next year). That’s a lot of lost development.

If only we could have gotten 20 a game out of our Wisconsin transfer (Taylor Currie).

Halligan getting some early minutes. I’m sure he’s earned it, but I haven’t really seen what his strength is so far this year.

Thanks. I think it’s fine being the aim (why not aim high), but I’d settle for 6 and bowl eligibility. Our OOC isn’t the grinder it has been in some other years, but it still includes 2 P4 teams and a good G6 team. Likely we go 1-3 in OOC which would require 6-2 or 7-1 in conference play. That’s the conference record of a title contender and I don’t see that happening next year.

This week’s Zips weekly definitely makes it seem like Moorhead and Goodrich have a solid relationship. Moorhead made a few positive comments about him.

Where are you seeing the 8 win expectation?

Young Mahaffey is balling. I’d say living up to the hype.

Early in the season, but this team feels like it has the chance to be Groce’s best team yet..

That’s a good start to build some momentum. I’ve decided Im going to do my small part too. We’re at a day in age where if we want to fix the problem, we can be a part of the solution. What shouldn’t get lost in this is that the school needs to step up their part too. Reasonable increases from both inside and outside support could elevate this program to the realistic level we’d like very soon..

With Bud’s involvement, I would think we have at least a respectable NIL base compared to our conference peers as well…
