  1. Zips have sorted out the RPI system. Play quality non-con on the road, early in the season.
  2. Yeah, but check Denver's weak schedule.
  3. Since no one else wants to mark this occurence...... Zips man-handled the Falcons. Only threat BG could muster was from set pieces, but #18 Jacob Roth is a Free Kick specialist. Kid kept serving in plum after plum. Laryea earned yet another stupid Yellow Card. I have no words. Brightest spot was Alonzo Clarke going full 90 at CB. If all he was doing was filling in, then coaches would have played him on outside. Seems he has turned some corner. His passing forward was crisp and incisive. There is still work to do, but Clarke looks to have an important future in Akron.
  4. ZZ is a soccer prodigy. You heard it here first. Is it soon to start the Recruiting 2020 thread??
  5. How old is Zak Zemanski now?
  6. Players cannot afford to lament the loss to UCLA any more they they can afford to read this forum. This here is nothing but fan talk.
  7. And so the UCLA loss looms large, moreso in the eyes of the commitee than in RPI.
  8. A successful season is one with match(es) after Thanksgiving. This is the standard.
  9. Wake Forest are better than we are, but we can still beat them.
  10. Really hope we can get that #8 seed.
  11. Gaucho Dan is Stats Boss! The entire Big Soccer/College/Amateur forum follows this guy.
  12. Abu Danladi was good. I thought Seyi Adekoya was better.
  13. Our Center Backs were consistently overwhelmed by Bruins' Forwards, #9 and #17. Now, it must be noted that both of these UCLA players will be in the MLS soon.
  14. Forget top 4 seeding.
  15. Good High School Soccer all day long Saturday as District Finals are played. Of particular interest is matchup of Revere vs. CVCA at Nordonia High School @ 16:30. http://brackets.myohsaa.org/bracket.aspx?t=6226&ts=14249¬=11 Several future collegiate players will be on display, a few on each side. I have had my eye on Daniel Branch (F Revere) for some time now. http://revereathletics.org/boys_soccer I suspect someone on Embick's staff has done the same.
  16. I have a bad feeling about this one, which may indicate nothing more than my absurdly high emotional investment. I have issues, especially regarding Zips Soccer.
  17. Have you seen Abdul - Salaam's PK that hits both posts? And misses? Portland Timbers advance on PKs over Sporting Kansas City. If I could from this computer, I would post video.
  18. It is my understanding is that the yellow card cannot be appealed, but the consequent suspension can be appealed. Someone please correct me on that. Even for soccer, the NCAA rule book is pretty thick.
  19. We absolutely should appeal. It was an unjust referee decision. We likely will lose the appeal anyway. But it is worth a try. Laryea obviously must cut out the childish crap, like tripping someone from behind with under 10 minutes left and a 4-0 lead. This mess is ultimately on him. Players can mature; see Victor Souto. A top 4 seeding greatly increases our chances of a second star. Beating UCLA is essential to achieving that seeding.
  20. Welcome, Flipeezip22. Where the hell have you been all this time? You are a student, I presume? Mountaineer Network is as good a webstream there is - for free. Replay showed that Laryea's supposed flop was indeed a foul. ***** Can anyone confirm Laryea's suspension? Is Akron appealing?
  21. Pretty simple really; Zips must beat UCLA to gain a top four seeding.
  22. Great. Now we can host UCLA with neither Najem nor Laryea.
  23. Adam is hurt.
