Saad started on the right wing. Played 45. Was replaced by Seremba, who played the remainder.

gah, my comp went bonkers at the end and I missed the dramatic finish glad we got the win though.

Steam is audio only at the moment, hoping that changes http://scarletknights.cstv.com/allaccess/ Sounds like a decent Akron contingent is there

didn't CSN rank us #6 or something in their preseason poll, though? yeah I aint mad
-
nah we'll be alright edit: to clarify I guess the football analogy isn't great because the size of a football team dictates there's gonna be a lot of turnover every year in soccer the roster i think is limited to ~25, maybe 15 of which will actually see regular playing time. We've got enough of a core coming back that we should be solid. combined with the fact that most of our blue-chip recruits (save Souto and that NYRB kid) weren't announced until after recruiting classes were ranked, nah I aint even mad

Porter's Model of Innovation
Ando replied to Zip_ME87's topic in Akron Zips NCAA Championship Soccer
FSC is rebranding not because soccer isn't being broadcast, it's because they have virtually no soccer to play they lost the EPL to NBC, and NBC already had the lion's share of MLS games. the year before they also lost the rights to Serie A also FSC had terrible production quality. not especially sorry to see it go; hope they step it up a little by the world cup -

It was a hard-fought game, and I think he was more upset with the fact that Portland managed to steal 3 points at the end than he was at Porter specifically. They're both, shall we say, strong advocates of their own cause, and the fact that CP constantly acted as if his team was being victimized by officiating probably understandably grated Bruce a little bit Bruce has kinda made no bones admitting he isn't CP's biggest fan, though -

US U-20 MNT Qualifies for 2013 U-20 World Cup

yeah the centerhalves were a little shambolic at times, and i dont think cropper really had a game to remember either in fairness, they were trying to defend kids who are pushing through to Madrid and Barcelona's A-teams. Deulofeu especially was a handful -

which is a shame. we're playing well otherwise; I think we had more of the ball in the first half, which is really something considering the competition using the high line is definitely playing with fire here, though -
Chad Barson makeing 1st MLS Start

the notion that caleb porter invented the attacking fullback is at least as dumb as some dude assuming chad learned the position at crew -
woah, csn looks like a website and not web1.0 afterbirth all of a sudden

More soccer options...in the Steel City

DK's kind of an asshat, but he makes himself pretty available to his readers via twitter/etc, which is refreshing for old media, particularly Pittsburgh old media types (I'm a Pittsburgh native). I wasn't able to score a ticket to the opener, but I'm planning on making it to a few Riverhounds games this year. Stadium's gorgeous. You can stream pretty much all of the USL games for free this year, by the way. Solid production quality, too. -
looks like a really strong dribbler, and there were a few clever passes in there too

Embick usually get a lot of cred for the (non-Mattocks) international guys - Admittedly, none of the (non-Mattocks) international guys have been overwhelmingly great, the exception being Brenes I guess Worth mentioning that a bunch of our blue-chippers HAVE been local guys - Nags, Steve Z, Nanchoff were all Cleve Intl's, and that's not including the columbus folk

In all honestly, there probably wasn't any thought that went into assigning the attributes that way - He hasn't really coached professionally, so those would have been generated mostly at random at the start of the game you'd have to take a look at the game editor to see what's actually there -

should actually be able to view this: -
as a dude who doesn't know stuff about basketball: Since BG are playing man, and don't have a deep bench they're only gonna start playing worse than they are now when it's late in the game when they're tired, yeah?

Champions League Broadcasts on Fox
Ando replied to Z.I.P.'s topic in Akron Zips NCAA Championship Soccer
I've never thought there's anything inherently wrong with American commentators, but the one's I've always heard I thought were mostly bad. Admittedly, the color guys are worse than the play by play guys for me (Harkes was awful, and Twellman is somehow worse), but I've never been crazy about most Americans in the booth. That said, I thought Gus did a really bang-up job on the Man U/Madrid match. He was distinctly 'American' in the way he called it, but still quality. -
