How about this for cRaZy: Akron has a better shot at beating Oklahoma Saturday then Oklahoma has at winning the national title this year. They are drooling all over themselves over there.

Call me old school but I appreciate the "scrappy-pound you into submission-running attack" of Connor Hundley. He may never break an 80 yarder for you but he consistently pounds the ball. Mix that up with some of the new offensive scheming we will see with Trayvon Chapman and I think we will see way over 1000 yards on the ground this year.

Pound for Pound on the starting offensive line we are only 41 pounds lighter than them and on the defensive side we are 34 pounds heavier. Height wise we have a 3 inch advantage on defense and they have a 5 inch advantage on offense. For all intensive purposes we match up extremely well with neither side having a clear advantage in terms of shear size. For the blatant dismissal of our team over on their board I think we have the making of the greatest upsets in Zips history and of all the games Saturday. The answers for what offense OK should run on Saturday by their posters and I can't help but smile when they say "we shouldn't need an offensive game plan..." or "Run a little throw a little win by 5 touchdowns"... Of course there is some aspect of sarcasm but if this is any indication of their attitude that we aren't even considered the lightest threat to score let alone be in this game, then I think we might just catch them with their pants down.

Some interesting size comparisons at play. Of course size doesn't translate to with athleticism but we match up pretty well.

Unfortunately wasn't able to stop by to get one as I moved to Savannah, Georgia 2 years ago. Just a fan on an island excited about anything Zips. I'm surrounded by Georgia and Florida faithful.

It is officially Game Week! As with every Zips season we eagerly build up the anticipation to see if this year is our year... As I was waiting for others to post this morning I decided to put together a little refrigerator printable schedule. Nothing too flashy but as we all know the week leading up to game day is the slowest EVER and this killed some time. It is in a .docx word format. See attached. Go ZIPS!!! It's like the gameplan was to come out flat (call it conservative) to open it up in the second quarter. All those throws in the flats make me sick.

The "Z" is SICK!! I Love it! (I'm not as traditionalist as my previous comments on the zipper were and my feeling still stand) I do however love the Z. I know a lot of guys have been asking to see it for sometime now and its edgy. Love it.

I'm fully aware of the "zippers" being the original nickname as noted when I also stated that the lyrics to the original fight song is says "Zzzip go the zippers"(in which the university now hands out the lyrics as being "Zip go the Zips") but that is a reference to the Goodrich overshoe and the rubber industry in Akron. It was never meant to be a reference to the zipper on my pants. It's all about brand and everytime you add stuff like this it gets watered down. At the end of the day I just don't like the design it was a cheap addition that was a change to say they made a change but imo doesnt do it for me.

We got lucky because we played so poorly. We have to play better in every aspect (except punting) to win moving forward. We got the W and thank goodness it could have gone the other way really easy. Their coach wasn't making a smart decision taking their last timeout so early.

This is the dumbest thing I have ever seen. Okay, so we are the zips which is the nickname representing our mascot the kangaroo. SO now we are the Zips, Kangaroos, and Zippers? wow talk about identity crisis. This doesn't even bring up the fact that the design is flat out retarded.
