Its not the 4th quarter and Nicely is back at the helm.

Lets knock a couple of the obvious ones off. Bud Light and Budweiser. Both were consumed at "Rock the river" before Saturdays game.

I love the poll results and I will be at the game tomorrow leaving it all out on the table as I cheer for the ZIPS. Play hard and be mentally into it. OSU will lack the focus because of all the off the field crap. Hit hard and play hard. Go ZIPS!!!

I will be there! I plan on heading down the night before. My girlfriends brother lives in Columbus so we'll stay with him and then most likely bar hop in the morning. Maybe we'll stop by the "skull session". Not real sure about the tail gating situation. It appears that you have to have parking passes to tail gate even remotely close to the stadium. PEOPLE are EVERYWHERE. Very excited to root against the Buckeyes for once. Go ZIPS!!!

I would love to have a 34 jersey to wear. I have a real Zips jersey that I can't wear. It is an offensive line jersey and it is skin tight and doesn't really have sleeves. A fit young person could get away with wearing it, but a fat 42 year old looks absolutely ridiculous. It looks like I am wearing a sleeveless sausage casing with puffy shoulders. Not pretty. I would like to hear some different perspectives as well. What we need are open practices so we could get fan reports like we have been getting from the basketball side. They let me in last night to catch the scrimmage. I just had to talk to some guy at the gate. I'm pretty sure he was just making sure no one was there to scout for another team... They guys were pretty pumped up and chanting and yelling. The friendly rivalry between offense and defense was pretty impressive although the offense did what it wanted on many occasions. The defense needs to get better real quick if they hope to win some games. The offence was in a 4th down situation and the coaches signaled to kick a field goal but both the offense and defense wanted to go for it. on 4th and 2. #2 had a nice 4-6 yard run for the first down but one of the lineman had to be gatored off the field. It was pretty anti climatic and to think "If they only had gone with a field goal"

Why yes, yes I did. This is also my first post and I wasn't quite sure how and when I'd make it but after sitting on my computer reading just about all the threads on here I finally ran into something I can reply to. Yes I got my tickets and so did 5 of my other buddies and we are all excited to go sporting AKRON ZIPS gear. If you asked me 2 years ago if I was going and who I'd be rooting for you could take it to the bank that I would be all out OSU. It funny how things change. Of course I always rooted for the Zips but I was very much the same as many people in Ohio. My transition has been long but you better believe I would love nothing more to go into the shoe in which I've been a handful of times and cheered my heart of for the Bucks, than to see the Zips play them tough. If I don't lose my voice cheering for our team then I will consider it a huge failure on my part. I totally love entertaining the thought of the Zips beating OSU. Is there a shot yea maybe like a million to 1 but I still want to believe. Thats how I feel about all the games for any team I root for. Yea I get let down quite a bit but at the same time it makes those comeback late game winners against galiath that much more insane. Can't wait to get to the game. Go ZIPS!!!
