I caught some of Frenchy's tv show tonight and he said that the Zips and ESPN might be working to get a huge team to come to the Rubber Bowl in August to open the '06 season on ESPN. Ne did not say the team but they are a "Huge" team and going to a bowl this year. Anbody have any ideas????

If you have Directv the Zips Cal game looks like it will be on Ch 656. No sure if you need to the College Basketball Season Pass or just the 12 per month FSN package.

I saw where the Zips are 13 point underdogs for the MACC. Once again no respect. I hope the players just as pissed as I am about this. This game is not only huge for this season but also for the progam.

I went to the ticket office this afternoon and got my tickets. I will in section 108 row 25. I still can't believe I was getting tickets for the MACC. Detroit!!!!!! Wish you could be there BG and Miami........

BigZipGuy, Is correct. The threee way tie bareaker is the winning % of the MAC West teams you played. The Zips need CMU, NIU, and Toledo to all win if Miami should be OU. Period end of story!!!! Or if OU beats Miami then we just need Toledo to win. Period end of story. And this is the Truth!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks 'flushy'! I agree with you Sloopy on all points but one. /if OU wins then what I have below does not matter. As of right now the Zips MAC west opponents have a record of 13 - 8 and BG's have a record of 14 - 7. Now NIU plays WMU. We played NIU and BG played WMU so this game will be huge. CMU plays Ball State. We played both and BG played BSU. We want CMU to win this game. And of course BG play Toledo. Which we need Toledo to win. So after the Toledo game BG's west opponents will have a 15 - 7 record. Now since CMU plays Ball State the Zips opponents record will be 14 - 9 regardless of who wins. So we need CMU to win and that will put BG's record at 15 - 8. Now if BSU win's then we need OU to win for sure or it will be over with a Miami win. Cause the Zips can only get 15 total wins and BG will have 16. So that means it will come down to NIU vs. WMU. If NIU win then Akron 15 - 9 BG 15 - 9 = Zips win tiebreaker. But if WMU win's that means Akron 14 - 10 BG 16 - 8 BG wins tiebreaker. This is how I see it.

How are you going to blame the defense. They held BSU to fieldgoals instead of touchdowns. With out that the Zips had no chance of a comeback. Plain and simple Gesty has to sit. No team can afford to wait until late 3rd quarter for thier QB to get hot and lead them back to a win. He missed way to many open WR in the first half.

I think the only question left is can the Zips come out and play like they did vs BG. I say they can. The played ball control offense and got the timley passes when they needed it. Thye just need to tkae it one game at a time and get some help from a Redhawks lost and the Zips will be going to Ford Field.
