Wow....another goal to make it 3-0 at 89:22 Zips could be in sole possession of first place in the league after tonight Northern Illinois leads Western Michigan 2-1 on their home field at half time If NIU holds on for win, top 4 in league would be: Akron 2-0-1 2. NIU 2-1 2. SIU-E 2-1 4. WMU 1-1-1 if NIU holds on, that will make the Nov. 2 game against NIU....the biggest game of the year..... great win tonight....by the Zips..... they played without Marco Milanese.....and they still got a clean sheet way to go, ZIPS

  14. Thanks, AyYo...for letting us know about the twitter update they got that posted quickly
  15. way too early to be worrying about that.... Southern Illinois Edwardsville(SIU-E) is the league leader at 2-0-0 and they come to Akron Friday night Akron will have to play that game without Marco Milanese Carlo Ritaccio was not able to play today...not sure of his status for Friday SIU-E is a very good team. Jared is a great coach....and will have this team focused on one game at a time I am proud of this team. They had to play without a pre season all american at center back. They got kicked in the teeth at 44 seconds.... and battled back to tie it at half time they played 33 minutes a man down....against a team ranked #27 in RPI (and WMU had won at Michigan on Thursday night) these zips are fighting and battling proud of them
  16. will have to miss the SIU-E game as well
  17. Carlo Ritaccio is not in the lineup today
  18. SIU-Edwardsville.......looks like they might be 2-0 in the MAC after tonight they lead BGSU 2-0 at 78:45 in a non-MAC game of interest...Michigan State defeated Ohio State 3-1
  19. Toronto FC and DC United 1-1 after 90 Richie Laryea scores a goal in OT to make it 2-1

  21. I guess it is time to start this topic... probably the most important MAC league game of the year Western Michigan is quite good and they are at home last night, they traveled to Ann Arbor and got a win over the Big Ten Wolverines WMU is 1-0 in the league (a 3-1 win at West Vriginia) and they are 9-4 overall they are on 5 match winning streak their season 2-1 opening season loss at Butler 4-0 home win over Niagara 1-0 home overtime loss to DePaul 4-0 win at Green Bay 5-1 home win over Cincinnati 1-0 win at Michigan State 1-0 overtime loss at Virginia Virginia is 11-0-1 and ranked #1 in the country 4-3 home over time loss to Jesus "Chino" Perez and his Illinois Chicago teammates 1-0 win at Xavier 1-0 home win over Loyola Marymount (LMU was ranked 22 in the country at time of the match) 3-2 win at Oakland 3-1 win at W. Virginia 2-1 win at Michigan looks like video of Akron at WMU will be available on ESPN Plus
  22. another disaster for the USMNT but I am happy that Richie Laryea played well for Canada https://www.si.com/soccer/2019/10/15/usa-canada-nations-league-video-highlights-pulisic-mckennie Canada looked up for the match from the start, with Richie Laryea surging forward from his right back position and delivering a dangerous cross in the first minute, only for Tim Ream to head it to safety with a diving clearance. The second half began with more of the same, and David failed to score on another great chance. It was created down the right, where Laryea got forward and crossed for David's near-post run. The 19-year-old forward turned his chance wide of the post, though, keeping the game scoreless in the 50th minute.
