The only AK Rowdies i for sure know are going number from 10-15...plenty to be offensive, but i wish there was more support from them. Heck, 700 people show up most games and not many are Rowdies, it's odd.

The Akron Hockey team will host Kutztown tonight at Center Ice Arena in north canton for all interested. Puck drops at 10 p.m. and students get in free with UA ID. They're having a rough year but they've been pulling in capacity crowds (around 700 people) each home game. They have a DJ on hand, open skate after, and it's dollar dog night tonight. It's a great time if you haven't been there.

I, along with a vast majority (probably 95%) of Zips fans whole-heartedly agree with this letter.

Portland already moved into their stadium. I think you mean Houston. Montreal should add a good boost. Yes, meant to say Houston...Portland for some reason was on my mind with that old minor league stadium.

I think another thing to add about these attendance figures is that many of these teams are at or near capacity for these season averages. Some places (like Portland) will see a rise in attendance with the building of a new soccer specific stadium. The sport is really growing. It's too bad we don't have a pro team here (other than the Zips lol).

Are you saying he was stealing from his teammates to support a drug habit? RIP. That's always been the rumor.

Crap, so he tweaked a knee, huh? It sounds like it's doing far better though. He's actually practicing, just not quite at 100% yet. Even if we can get a solid 10 minutes out of him Sunday that would be great. I'd hate to have his first game back be CSU.

Good post. And i agree, it's been fun...but i think the lack of acknowledgement bodes well for us having a shot. It means that he's thinking about it.

I agree. If anything, this just opened up a lot of naysayers eyes and brought some people out of the woodwork. Let's not forget that this thing is real, Tressel and Akron are talking...no doubt about it. So maybe this will be a good example of support that this would have. There have literally been thousands upon thousands of twitter posts mentioning "Akron" and "Tressel". This is a good thing. That being said...give Ian a break. The dude cares as much about akron as anyone on this board...period. He made a mistake, get over it. It may have helped us in the long run anyways. GO ZIPS
