Quincy plays like he is trying to make up for a lost year, the most out of control player in Zips history. If he could somehow control his energy, could be quite a player..nice foul on the 3 ball.

20,000 students, yes I know they are not all on campus, but hell, if you get 2000 or even a 1000 rowdy students, that place would be loud. Go back to 1986, there were a ton of students every game.

I can recall the 86 season with the entire upper deck (where upper reserved is now) was full of students. At the announcement of the starting 5 for the opponent, the entire upper deck held up newspapers or turned their back. That was an amazing year, especially with the OVC championship and the ticket to the dance at home. The atmosphere was great back then. I really hope the next arena will be a "pit" design to intimidate other teams.

The guy needs to dribble every where he goes to learn how to do it in a game. "Hey there goes Nick to class, see him dribbling?" lol

yes, when Zeke took up the middle and #1 could work his magic. Yes he is a more ferocious rebounder, but having a 7' in there helps a lot. This team can't rebound with the most height in team history. 6 7" wings, 6 6" point...no one crashes the boards except #1

We're stuck with this dump for a while. I am highly disappointed with no updates from the University on anything on a new arena/update the JAR as what Toledo did to Savage Hall. We could go on and on about new arena designs/ideas (see thread) but the silence is amazing from the school. Maybe help in our recruiting of future talent to say "hey come to Akron and look and what is on the horizon". Hear that any point guards in the country that can do their job??

Nailed it with the one trick ponies. I have written this team off for this year of doing anything magical, there is zero cohesion, gelling or whatever you want to call it. The lack of AA and Zeke is killing this team. I think without one of them we would look better than we are now, not both. The lack of any point guard play could be offset by a rebounding machine down low, now we have both gone and Toledo destroyed us. This is a year to step back and hopefully Tree and Nick come back next year and somehow we get a point guard that can run the show, have confidence and throw in a shot here and there. AA would look good out there running with the rest of our athletes, just no floor general to speak of out there. The point being outscored 25-0 or whatever yesterday was insane. Spoon took it to the Zips as well. Toledo came in with the aggressive mind set and wanted to-- and made the statement.

True, an elite class as no other MAC school or name any other also ran conference such as ours, but the other teams on that list play a much tougher schedule. 20 wins, most likely this year if we can get a win in cleveland and one in the coaches tournament

I dunno, Toledo has a swagger about them or a drive to say, "not this year Akron"..this game really hasn't been close all day. Akron had a good run in the first half to go up by 4, since then, not so much. Look at the ESPN gamecast with the lines, Toledo in command for the most part at the JAR. Our rebounding sucks, I do miss the big guy in the middle, took that for granted at times.
