I've noticed a kid in the Beacon Journal boxes recently whose name might bring a smile to the faces of you "experienced" Zips fans. A point guard for the Buchtel Griffins named MARCEL BOYCE JR.! Class of '23, playing point guard with on a team with 5 star recruit Chris Livingston.

I suspect that the plan for Livingston is going to one of the blue blood schools for a year then enter the draft.

With the likely differences in games played and teams played, I'd suggest that they poll the coaches and seed the top 8 from that poll. As a safeguard, you eliminate the highest and lowest seedings from the vote to take out some coaches playing games with the system.

Funny thing is that they all get game notes from the team. That's why you hear the different away announcers say a lot of the same things about the Zips. One of those things is the Freeman story. Well, the OU game this Tuesday has gone down to Covid so we'll have to wait until Friday for the Miami game in Oxford. The Redhawks are coming off of a two game losing streak, falling to PCCC at Brimfield and Buffalo in Ontario. They are 8-7 overall and 5-5 in the MAC. They had actually started to come around before those losses having won 4 of 5 going into Streetsboro. 6'2" sophomore guard Dae Dae Grant leads the Fredmen at 13.7 ppg. 6'7" senior forward Dalonte Brown scores 12.2 ppg while leading the team in rebounds at 6.7 rpg. Their leading scorer from the last couple of seasons transferred to Pitt in the off-season.

Looks like we get Ball State Friday at Ball State on the 19th as a replacement wild card game.
