The Zips visit Mount Pleasant Tuesday to play one of the few teams left with a native American team name. The Chippewas are dismal 2-12 and haven’t played since January 11th.
Jermaine Jackson Jr. leads the Chipps at a mere 11.4 ppg. Ralph BIssainthe leads rebounding at 7.1 rpg. Their two wins are against PCCC and Eastern Illinois. In their last game on January 11th they lost by 31 (99-68) to Eastern Michigan.
I think the Trimble situation and the WMU situation were very similar. Three really hot shooters who also got a little help from the defense. Groce and the BG assistant both hit on it. BG opted to go under on picks rather than fight through or switch and it killed them at times.
I think we'd have also seen a lot more defensive pressure, especially full court and that half court trap, if the roster numbers would have panned out. For now, I'll give Clarke an injury pass. Walton and Wynn let this team down.
Agreed. When I was able to attend, through most of December, I was often the ONLY person in my end section above the Zips bench. Unfortunately, due to a health issue with one of my immediate family members, I can't risk bringing anything home.
Gotcha! That makes sense. I guess everyone should know by now to just contact me if they want them!
By the way, I have 2 tickets tomorrow if anyone wants them shoot me a PM. LOL.
I am certain I loudly exclaimed what Ralphie in Christmas Story referred to as "THE word, the big one, the queen-mother of dirty words, the "F-dash-dash-dash" word!" Fortunately, I was home alone.
