The Zips head to Bowling Green Friday night to kick off the MAC season with the 5-7 Falcons. 6'7" senior forward and St. Vincent- St. Mary alum Marcus Johnson is leading the Falcons at 17.3 ppg. He transferred in from D2 Wheeling where he was 14th in the nation in D2 scoring' 6'2" junior guard Javontae Campbell is second in scoring at 15.8 ppg. He's a JUCO transfer from Northern Oklahoma. 6'9" senior forward Sam Towns leads rebounding at 7 rpg while contributing 6.3 ppg. Towns, who went to Ohio U as a freshman, hasn't played since 11/23. The Falcons were predicted to finish 5th in the MAC by the MAC Preseason Poll.

Still wondering how it takes 7 minutes to determine something is conclusive.

Groce did say this is a good group and that they are quickly improving.

Baker is averaging 5.9 points and 4.3 rebounds a game for Southern Illinois- Edwardsville. In the one practice I saw last year I thought he had some potential. He must be hurt now as he hasn't been playing.

Still had Sullinger, Hornbeak and Davis.

Okonkwo's rebounding stats are a little skewed due to big games against lesser opponents SUNY Brockport, Alabama State and Jackson State. He did have a nice game against Arkansas State, but I want to see more rebounding against more substantial opponents and see it consistently.
