  1. That's not true, Youngstown has 2 pro Hockey teams, a pro baseball team and is getting a ALF2 football team. So thats not 100% true, plus highschool football
  2. Youngstown is an hour from cleveland and an hour from Pittsburgh, I wonder how that works....
  3. It's minor league football tho, my wife is dragging me to the game on Saturday night, Gooooo James Madison
  4. Wanna hear something more sickning, YSU will play on ESPN 2 during primetime at 7:30 on Saturday night.
  5. Youngstown is a pretty big market. It's actually the Mahoning and Shanango Valley. Trumbull, Mahoning counties, and a couple of counties in PA make up the market. They cover YSU football non stop here in the news papers and TV. We have 6 of them here and its like enough is enough. The NBC station and WB station both air YSU football games and the coaches show at the same time. Sometimes too much is too much, its a 1-AA program. I have to suffer through it becuase my wife is a YSU alum. YSU
  6. Isn't PBS, WB and PAX in Akron?
  7. There actually 6 TV stations in youngstown. 21 NBC, 27 CBS, 33 ABC, 62 fox, and a WB station plus some new cray called MY TV. All of those TV stations cover YSU front and back. All thier sports is by YSU. As far as Radio we have a few big stations they all have sports that cover YSU. Can you belive that YSU has a radio contract, radio sations actually pay to put YSU sports on the air. The TV stations also bid on contracts to air the football games and air the coaches show. Theres wayyy too much coverage of YSU I wish I could get some akron coverage
  8. Yea Youngstown media has never reported on Akron anything. All 5 News stations in Youngstown has never ran a story on Akron football. The print media of 2 news papers here puts Akrons score. The whole Media in Youngstown splits its time covering YSU football and Ohio State football. Thats it.
  9. I am an Akron alum living in Youngstown, I was wondering why the Cleveland media doesn't report on Akron football. Obviously the Youngstown media doesn't have one segment on akron football on tv or print, but why not the cleveland media?
  10. Not to be rude but I don't think people from BGSU or Miami even cared about this game. ESPN gets good ratings for these games because bettors have money on them and watch them. If there were no line on this game I know it would not be shown on ESPN. So not many people cared about what the brodcasters had to say, or cared about ethir team, just the final score
