Anyway, what is the scoring prediction for the game?I say the Zips win by 10
-
Equins where abouts in Y-town do you live?
-
btw is there a message board for YSU anywhere?
-
Take down those hoops on the side, put a video board up, add some suites and Beeghly is nicer than The convocation center in Cleveland. The bank I work at in Youngstown has season tickets to YSU Men's and Women's basketball games. I requested tickets for the Akron women's game, Akron men's game, and the Butler game. Got all 3 games. YSU basketball is getting better.Akron does play games at Canal Park, however not nearly as much as YSU plays at Eastwood field. I think Can't State has the best overall athletics program in North East Ohio thought. They have a horrible Football team, however their Men's Basketball program is one of the best in the state, and their baseball program is ether 2nd or 3rd best in the state. It kills me to say that but its the truth. YSU's baseball program is pretty solid tho, but there basketball program has been kind of an embarrassment for the school. Akron can learn a lot of the success of your women teams in the past, your baseball program, and definitely your football program.

It kills me but YSU has better facilities then YSU, better football stadium, better basketball arena and better baseball field. I must say one thing Akron has over YSU is a better Basketball program. We will see how much YSU has improved from last year.Equins you should be proud of the athletic programs you have in Youngstown, there is a thing or 2 Akron can learn from your athletic department. I know many Akron fans won't like me saying this, but if you lived in Youngstown and saw all I have seen you would agree with me.
-
Watch it now Youngstown is where I work, and I was born and raised in Boardman. Despite the fact YSU does not have a videoboard at thier arena, it is sitll very nice. I think nicer then the Jae and nicer then Can't.I'll be at the game, maybe some fellow zips can meet up at BW3's in downtown y-town
-
Nice pics, alltho I don't agree what you say a lot I think its great a football school like yours covers basketball like that website. However I hope you have pics when we beat you.

I'm sorry Indians....Cleveland TV does NOT cover every YSU game. A playoff game...perhaps...but not EVERY game. I didn't sya TV, the PD and other print papers in cleveland does. I know this because of buddy of mine is a writer who I met up with several times at YSU. Sometimes the Pittsburgh Post has more insightful articles on YSU football then the Youngstown Vindy, Warren Tribune or Mahoning Valley Review had. Nethir the Youngstown Vindy, Warren Tribune or Pittsburgh post have any coverage of Akron and it pisses me off. I have to get the PD in order to read anything, and most of the time I have to read through YSU shit just to get to ours.I think YSU and Akron should meet, it would give me bragging rights with the in-laws. I already got some having our women beat YSU

YSU brought 9,000 to Pittsburgh, they brought about 1,000 to Appalachian State which is 9 hours away. They averaged over 16,000 fans this season, I would say they have atleast 7,000 loyal fans that would make the hour plus trip to Akron. The Cleveland and Pittsburgh media covers every YSU game, I saw a 19 action news and WEWS camera at the YSU play-off games. The Pittsburgh media even brought news stations here. One of my friends from Pittsburgh even said they graced the front page of the Pittsburgh post gazette. I'm saying this game would be a for sure win. Will bring a lot of peopleCould be picked up by FSN Ohio, or Sports Time Ohio plus the media attention we will get in Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Youngstown. Love it or hate it Youngstown media covers Akron like it does not exist. I hate it! We need some coverage here in Youngstown too.
-
I think it sparks 10,000 road fans, that is more Syracus and Indiana will bring, a for sure win, and a lot of media attention in an area we don't get any in, Cleveland, Youngstown and Pittsburgh.

Guys not all YSU fans are like this. Hes just a 12 year old moron who knows nothing of the outside world that is not Youngstown. YSU is a great school and a great football team. It's unfortunate losers like this guy ruin good names of schools. Maybe a ban of this guy should be enforced so he stops ruining names of people like my wife and her brothers and father who attended YSU. It saddens me that 12 year old kids can talk smack on a message board

Akron and Can't both want to play YSU. I belive they will pay YSU close to $100,000 to do so. Thats a good investment by Akron and Can't, the YSU fans would come in a group of 8-10,000 people. YSU brought something like 9,000 fans to Pittsburgh 2 years ago. They brought over 3,000 to Penn State this season outdrwaing Akron So by brining in YSU I would raise our payment to the school. Pitt played YSU for $250,000, Penn State paid 400,000 and I hear YSU and Ohio State's contract is in the millions. I think Pitt is going to up thier payment to play YSU again, so if we want a sold out rubber bowl and a forsure victory were going to have to raise our total we would give YSU for playing us. It would be great to see a lot of YSU fans at the Rubber bowl, and even greater to see them all leave at halftime. Ohh well we would have thier money
-
Yea this equins guy is a tool.I love my wife shes a YSU grad, but these YSU fans like him piss me off. Theres a lot of great YSU fans, but a lot that think YSU is the greatest thing since sliced bread.Heres the breakdown of Akron to YSU in sports\FootballAkron>YSUI think we would beat YSU by 7-14 points. I've seen YSU play a lot with my wife being a grad there, but I gotta go from my alum AkronMen's BasketballAkron>YSUWomen's BasketballAkron>YSUBaseballYSU>AkronYSU has a solid baseball programSoftballYSU=AkronIDK know much about softball, but YSU did win the conference last year
-
I think I-AA football has grown a lot. Look how many games are on espn every year
-
Kids leaning towards Youngstown. Close to home, within an hour. Sources that were his friend said that the fact YSU played on ESPN and ESPN2 3 times this season was a factor. I think this could be the 1st recruit we lose here at Akron because of the Rubber bowl. A kid I spoke to from the U said He liked Stamabugh Stadium, the atmosphere and the fans. My friend and him are friend down at Miami. They are both form the Pittsburgh area. YSU would be a good fit, close to home, good returning team next year, national exposure. Plus he has a chance to win a national title. I'm sorry to say, but if I were him I would go to YSU too. I wouldn't want to sit out a year.

Are you crazy man? I hate the RB it's terrible I can't wait for our new stadium. Paul Brown isn't nicer than that, Fawcet isn't even nicer
-
Stambaugh is probabaly one of the nicer college football stadiums I have been to as much as I hate to say. It's jumbotron is clear, loges are nice and pressbox is great. It reminds me of Northern Illinois. I'll give Youngstown this, they have a nice stadium. GOOOOO Appy State
-
I know Akron's president has visited Stambaugh Stadium in Youngstown before
-
I can't belive these idioits at YSU keep winning. I hope Appy State beats thier ass
-
Read the rule books moron! Its a rule
-
haha YSU= the MAC's stepchild that was left behind
-
Read the mac rule book, no mac team shall travel to a stadium that is lower then 1-A. Go play your highschool football games, we will stick to our 1A schedule. If you wanna see how real football is played, play us. Why would Akron want to travel to Youngstown, I live here and I don't even want to travel to Youngstown
-
Heres this tool. Go back to Youngstown or sac up and play us
-
Anyone see the YSU game on ESPN2? I was there I thought James Madison had YSU beat. 11 point YSU comeback, I just wnated to know how the game looked on TV?
