  5. Can we get a little upper level support or what .... SMH again https://twitter.com/john_ship67/status/655398670871998464
  6. Good call JZ84 ..... Could possibly be huge in the intermediate routes underneath !!!
  7. He may have forgotten, so a little reminder .. SMH https://twitter.com/john_ship67/status/655393778283495424
  8. Yet Licata had a season high 59 attempts ................ Just sayin
  9. Hmm .. Wonder what the stats on that game look like (not that it matters ). LOL Probably didn't quite have enough bullets in the shootout
  10. http://www.cleveland.com/sports/college/index.ssf/2015/10/akron_coach_terry_bowden_says_1.html
  11. ok ok. I concede, you guys are right ...... Coach Milwee, bring you guns to the shootout !!...... Michael Spinks thought he could take the fight to Tyson back in the day .... For like 17 seconds !!! Buster Douglas made him go 10 and was affective slipping, holding and counter punching ... Then got him. Lol..... Go Zips !!!!!!
  12. When the defense is 81st in the nation in "getting off the field" so far this year, I'm gonna step out and say that you may want to think about that ...... But maybe, just maybe, this is the game !! Offense is 87th in the nation in scoring ....... maybe, just maybe, this is the game (and I will give you that BGU's defense is 112th) ..... Did I mention that our red zone offense is a sizzling 115th in the nation (73%) Anyone ever heard of a ball controlled passing game ? Just curious Sound to me more like a game plan of hope .................. But hell I love a good shoot out !!! Let's stay outside the red zone and heave it up to Jerome about 10-12 times LOL Maybe, just Maybe he grabs 4-5 for TD's Just messin with you guys, I believe we can agree to disagree ........ My wife tells me I'm wrong about 80% of the time anyway, so the odds are definitely in your favor !!! So I say ....... F&^% the stats ...... BEAT BOWLING GREEN EDIT: Shouldn't this be in the Bowling Green thread LOL
  13. The size at CB would be great .......... But also the same at WR Hudl film must not be public as I cannot open

  15. Didn't see a topic but am interested in any talk of 2016 recruiting ? I believe there is a QB and a TE that have verbally committed, but that could be incorrect ? Any headway in the local recruiting efforts ?
  16. Anything to speak of on the 2016 recruiting front ? ............. I believe last I saw, we had verbals from a QB and a TE ? Oh yea, and JoJo
  17. I believe that BGU have some of the larger CB's in the MAC. Lane still should have size and strength advantage, but not like EMU Davis underneath and more to TE's and RB's
  18. Whoa ..... Can't fully disagree with the TW part, but please explain the rational behind "the answer" ... Interesting
  19. Hey, if you think we can score TD for TD with the 10th highest scoring offense in the nation ..... So be it I like our chances with the run defense, but we are a paltry 69th in pass defense I believe that would mean we need to do something a little different than a shoot out I hope the stats prove completely false. Trust me I do
  20. Please don't think I'm a buzz kill ................. Simply a realist and stat guy We are 96th in the country with 68.4 plays per game ............... BGU is third in the country with 89.5 players per game (91 plays yesterday). Their offense thrives on tempo. We seem to use about 30 of the 40 seconds of the play clock on most plays, so A. I would not call that any type of "tempo" offense with 68 plays per game and certainly not shootout calibur B. What is wrong with huddling, communicating and still using those 30 seconds ? ........ Kind of is the same thing to me, but add the communication in the huddle 75 plays to 66 and 36:26 min to 23:28 T.O.P ..... Both in favor of the Zips yesterday .............................. BGU Defense - 113 total D. 65th - run and 126th - pass These guys WANT to get us in a passing war and there is no way (someone give me stats to prove) that we can keep up with that ? What passing stats and attack in any game would make anyone believe that we can ? Sorry to be a downer but 14-22 for 222 and 4 TD's is sweet for us and great improvement, but in no way are "shootout stats" I just think that if we really want this one (and I think the Staff certainly does), they have to plan a little differently for sure ........ And I think we can !!!
  21. ++1 ......... Confidence is a beautiful thing !!!! But we cannot lay the game on his shoulder's yet !!
  22. We have a chance if we can limit their offensive plays to around 70 and control the ball and the clock ........ Ball control, a third down % like EMU, NO STUPID penalties to extend drives (I know it's getting old folks) and win the TO battle MIlwee can be as big on defense this week with controlled play calling (4-5 yards per play will win it).......... If they get that tempo going at home, look out
  23. Nothing new there Doc ..... My Wife didn't listen either and committed some inexcusable personal fouls at the mall yesterday during the Zips win !!!!! But I'm sorry, you cannot give a pass to them because they have played hard all season ............... That's not discipline IMO.
  24. Ball control ...... in both losses, Memphis and Tennessee won the T.O.P. BGU runs an average of about 85 plays per game (91 yesterday) and capitalize on the tempo well. We have to control the clock and keep their offense off the field AND keep our front 7 as rested as possible. As promising as yesterday was, I just don't think we can run up and down the field with these guys. They certainly have given up their share of points in every game ..... I would agree with LZIp to a point, but am sorry to say, I think it will cost us to get in a shootout. Our offensive line HAS GOT TO play their best game ever !!! I believe we should focus on 4 yards per carry, and about 6-8 completions to the TE/Hback and slot guys in the flats, 4-6 passes in the flats to the RB's anf more intermediate over the middle passes. I also think that the longer opportunities to Lane will present themselves a few times but Milwee has got to set those opportunities up first....... I would consider using a huddle and every second of the play clock.... This game is in no way comparable to the EMU game IMO The clock is our twelfth man this week IMO, if we can game plan with it in the offense. Tennessee put up 399 yards on the ground and 6 scores (205 in the air)..... and scored 59 total Memphis was opposite but has a totally legit QB and ran 16 more plays (about 18% more) This would a beyond huge victory !!!
  25. What tha ?? ??
