Three and out to start the half. It is what I expected. Finley and the offense look like their done for the day. We have seen this before. I hope I am wrong.

I have two wtf moments thus far, Finley's interception and the 7 points right before halftime where they moved the ball without one negative play.

If I had a buck for every touchdown Akron gave up in the last 2 minutes of the half the last 10 years I would be a rich man. We have seen this over and over and over again.

Well, he came in but as a receiver. Nice touchdown drive on a short field.

I think I saw Tahj in the huddle on the sidelines before the commercial. (wishful thinking?) I just hope he can move the team if he does get into the game.

It is time for Tahj!! Finley has been hit too many times. Ever since he came up gimpy on the tackle he is looking not to get hit. Very slow and hesitant. Missed a wide open receiver.

The last 2 Akron possessions are 3 and out. We need to do better. When Finely came up Gimpy, Tahj started out on the field and then got called back. I would like to see Tahj play a set of downs to see if we can jump start the running game.

Good timeout by Akron. With 3rd and 1 made no sense having a 3 man front. Put the right personnel and then stopped them for loss.

I would just like to see Akron play one game of decent football with no stupid mistakes or turnovers, decent pass protection, a decent run game and no questionable coaching decisions. If Ohio plays better than us, I can take the loss. But can we have one game where people on this board do not post, "what the heck (WTF)"?

I still remember that moment. Most fans remember great plays. The last 10 years Akron fans remember the bonehead decisions by players and coaches. (like watching our punt returner let the ball go and then try to pick it up and fumble it on the 2 yard line 2 weeks ago)

One of my favorite Zips. Love watching him on the fast break. Was fearless and scored about 95% of the time. Would love to see another Zip like him.

We have seen so much bad football the last 10 years I would not make a coaching change since team is not as bad as prior teams. It seems like we have talent to compete but the coaching has not been great with the delay of games, play calling, and the decision to let Finley stay in the game and get beaten to a pulp. We have to develop a running game and Finley is just not a zone read quarterback. Let him play to his strength, a drop back passer. Using Tahj as a receiver has not worked and I wish they would bring him in to run the zone read offense for a few sets and see if he can move this team on the ground.

I do not know why Finley is still in the game. Even the announcers indicated he has had happy feet and has taken a beating. Why are the announcers seeing more than our coach? That last throw was pathetic!!!!

I think the announcers for homers are pretty good. They commented that Akron should not run wide because of South Carolina's speed and Akron has done much better running the ball near the middle. They are also correct in that Akron has gotten some pressure on the QB. Finally, great point that Akron has few chances and Finley missing wide open receivers is the death knell for a team trying to pull off an upset.

If he would have at least hit the guy coming down field instead of just standing there the ball would have went into the endzone. I wonder if this is the same guy who fumbled last week?

We get the ball in the 2nd half. Lets do something different and drive the ball down the field and score a touchdown and make this a 1 score game in the 2nd half.

Like I said, throw the ball downfield. Touchdown!!!

Better than 4 delay of games.

If Finley is not going to throw the ball down field, why not put in Tahj. He is a better runner. This offense sucks with quick passes left, quick passes right and nothing down field so Finley does not get hit. Only 1 first down on this anemic offense.

Does anyone have an idea of whether the players look forward to the big time football atmosphere and enjoy playing these games or are they tired of getting beat up by superior teams?

I hated the last 2 minutes of the game. For a team that has managed to lose games that it should have won, why tempt fate. Moorehead could have run the clock down to the 2 minute warning without running a play. Instead, he throws a pass that stops the clock at 2:01. He then throws an interception. Being a Zips fan, I could see the pass being run back for a pick 6 and the a recovered onside kick. I thought we should be able to run it down their throats but our zone read looked so slow it just never got going. Finley still runs out of the pocket instead of looking downfield and taking a hit when he throws it. This is not a recipe for success against division one team. I would like to see Tahj play next week and give Finley the week off so he does not get injured. We are going to get killed no matter who is the quarterback. Also, why bring in Tahj, he did absolutely nothing when he lined up as quarterback and then shifted out of it. I also believe we will win against Kent and that may be it.

Does anyone understand clock management. They could have run the clock down to the 2 minute warning. Throw the ball on 3rd and 27 into double coverage and intercepted. Just stupid football!!!

We have come out flat in the second half. Finley looks very clunky running the RPO. He is more of a straight back passer and has been accurate when he just drops back and throws the ball.
