The craziest part about it, is they KNEW he was going to get the ball and they had 8 men in the box, and he was still able to run wild. and like it said in the article, akron will be running the same I formations that he ran at hoover.

ahhhhh game over. the lady zips lost by 1 after the bobcats make a shot with 20 seconds to go. Tecca had a chance to win the game with 4 seconds to go but missed off the left side of the rim. akron got the rebound but wasent able to put up another shot.

61-57 with 3:03 left to go in the game. their playing pretty good defense. Just got to hope the shots start falling more frequently

ouch. the last couple minutes of the half were very sloppy. akron held a 33-28 lead, but ohio was able to come back and tie it up at 33-33 heading into half. Hope the zips can come out with the intensity that they did against Can't, and how they started out this game.

im watching both the men and the women's game at the same time... at this point the lady zips are up 24-23, ohio just nailed a 3 pointer to pull to within 1.

I just turned on the feed from 1350. As bad as it can sometimes be, I remember the headaches I went through with last years Buffalo game trying to get their video feed. I won't bother with that again.the feed isnt bad actually its the commentators who are horribe. i think im going to mute it an liten to the radio feed also.

it would be better if we just had the video and no audio. this has got ot be one of the worth braodcasted games. These guys get stuck up when talking so much its not funny. Anytime they get stuck up while talking, you hear them say UGHHH its pretty annoying lol. is anyone else watchign it?

I was at the game also and noticed a few different things. As you all know from my previous posts about the WBB, i do attend a good number of games each year. My niece loves it and she learns alot while were watching. 1.) As i noticed tonight, there are alot of new faces to the basketball program. The team this year unlike last year has shows that when they go down....it doesnt mean they are out. There were a few times that Can't went ahead. Teams in the past seem to of slowed up and "gave up" when that happened... not this team. it seems like that motivated them to play harder. 2.) I think we have one of the better centers in the MAC. That girl is tall and blocks alot of shots. Doesnt seem to score a whole bunch, but her 10-12 points a game are more then enough. She changed the way teams play again akron because they know that akron has a force in the middle, unlike in the past.3.) This team plays together alot more then in the past. In the last few years the games i went to, it was Kara Murphy shooting,rebounding and doing it all because she didnt have much help around her after Mccoy went to BG. This year she has other players around her that are helping take the load off of her by scoring,rebounding and playing very good D.4.) The crowd seems to be getting larger this year. The AK-Rowdies showed up with a good number if members tonight.........and a few times i seen them having the official laughing at their antics. heck, a few times Can't's coach was laughing at the remarks being made to him lol.and last but not least...................... my god we have got a few very good looking girls on the dance team and cheerleading squad lol. (sorry, dont mean to offend anybody with the last comment, i only speak the truth)oh yeah, and it is always good to beat Can't state and hear their fans cry about how bad the officials were.............. i say we get the some cry me a river and just put that portion on replay for the end of the games, cuz each and every sport that akron beats Can't in ( all of them) their fans cry about officiating......... get over it, you just got your a$$es kicked by the better team

If you watch that video you will realize it was the 20 good plays that Ohio had, in a 19-7 victory that should very well have been a loss if not for Turnover Machine # 5. It was put together by Ohio, to make Ohio look good. It wasn't a game highlight video, it was an Ohio highlight video. If you are going to say you watched "highlights" of the season and "came to a conclusion" make sure you actually watch the films that show every play that Akron had, not just the ones that Ohio wants it's recruits to see.Talk about an uninformed opinion. Yes, i did mention that game specifically. But when i say i have seen highlights of the season i mean i have watched more then one game. I have been to all of the home games, and have watched others on television. Im not by any means basing my OPINION on just the Ohio game. I seen the same arm tackling in the indiana game, and also the central michigan game. Why not have the first man to make contact with the offensive player stand him up, while the other defensive players are going for the strip. The way they are playing it now they have the first guy going for the strip and he is missing the player, and their getting 5,6,7 extra yards. If they would have the first man to make contact hit an wrap him up, they stop him with the minimal gain, and then have the other defenders come after the ball.

Someone posted video on another thread from the ohio game. If you wach that video you will see an offensive line letting their QB get eatten alive. You will see a defensive backfield who is attempting to make arms tackles, with their heads down. Like i said, there are 2 or 3 on each side of the ball that look like they are still giving it their all, the rest seem to be flat an not caring. I do remember a DB getting a few INT's in the ohio game, and he is one of the players i was talking about not giving up. along with wagner and sewell. The rest of the Defense didnt look like they were giving much effort at all. like i said, i hope that they can turn it around this week and get a W. and also 72 roo. i was refering to the minimal amount of sacks that they gave up.... and they also blocked for a back that rushed for over 1000 yards. During one stretch of the season he aveaged more yards rushing then any back in the ncaa.

im not bashing them at all. I personally have friends on the team. Im just in shock by how they have been playing. The worst part if like i said, the offensive line and the DB's (tackling) i think that this team if they were to use technique, and get back to the basics, they would be alot better off and their record would reflect it.

are they not aloud to go to an respond to sites like this? If so, i havent heard of that before. You never know...sometimes it takes someone "smacking it into you" before you realize you need to do somthing bout it. I just hope that they can turn this year around.

After watching highlights from each game this year, i see a group of guys (aside of 2 or 3 of them) that have pretty much given up on the season. Since when do you have a division 1 defensive back flying to make a tackle with his head down. Who the hell are you going to tackle with your head looking at the ground. Another thing i see and it makes me very sick to the stomach is all of the arm tackles that are being attempted. Whatever happened to college players playing good sound football, and using technique. You dont try to arm grab him and pull him down, You hit him and wrap him up. The final thing i seen in this video is a group of offensive lineman who were the best in the MAC last year, but this year they just dont have it. In this video you see Nicely and Rodgers getting pressure on every play. If there are any players from the team who see this post............... we as fans challenge you to step it up. Lineman, put a helmet on somebody and block until the dang whissle please. Defensive players, Hit and wrap. You dont have to make the highlight hit every game... make the sure tackle. You guys are better then you have been playing, so starting this week against syracuse, prove that you arent the laughing stock of not only the mac, but of the nation!If you agree with the things that i have said, make sure to post your opinions here, and if any of the players read this hopefully they will take it to heart and go out an kick some syracuse ass!

Im convinced that we NEED a coaching change. That being said, JD is still the head coach and deserves repect from his players. Following the Indiana game coach Brookhart was asked about our inability to rush the ball by Joe Dunn. He said something to the effect of Joe Tuzzi gave it 100% but Devoe chose to ignore the play call and he tried to bounce it outside every time he rushed. Hes a very talented kid but he obviously has no discipline. If the play is called off tackle or up the middle thats where you go! Failure to listen to the coaching staff is not and should not be rewarded with increased playing time. We gave Devoe a 2nd chance when few schools would touch him and Im a supporter of his but the kid has to respect his coaches!but did he bounce it outside because there was no hole to run into. maybe if some of our other backs would bounce it outside when the hole just isnt there, we would have more rushing yards per player. I seen ALOT of times last night that there simply were no holes there, but the RB still tried to punch it thrrough that gap..............bottom line is we have to get into the endzone. If the line doesnt create the hole... its up to the player to create.

After sitting in the stands watching the game against OU. Somthing struck me and i was just curious how others felt about it. We have aplayer who was ranked as the 65th best player IN THE COUNTRY, but he doesnt get any playing time. I was able to see him in high school and he was a monster...... and he is bigger,faster and stronger now. He had 2 carries in the game against indiana, for 32 yards! This kid is a very good football player and he should be on the field somewhere. Below is a break down of the season rushing stats for the team.Matt Rodgers has 40 carries for 226 yards (minus 70 yards in loss's, for a total of 156yards) he has an average of 3.9 yards per carry with a long run of 28 yards.Joe Tuzze has 32 carries for 153 yards (minus 3 yards in loss's, for a total of 150 yards) He has an average of 4.7 yards per carry with a long run of 16 yards.Alex Allen has 30 carries for 85 yards (minus 14 yards in loss's, for a total of 71 yards) He has an average of 2.4 yards per carry with a long run of 13 yards.Dale Martin had 6 carries for 64 yards. He has an average of 10.7 yards per carry witha long run of 22 yards. (has not lost any yards)Norman Shuford has 28 carries for 69 yards (minus 12 yards in loss's, for a total of 57 yards) He has an average of 2.0 yards per carry witha long run of 10 yards.Nate Burney has 11 carries for 42 yards. he has an average of 3.8 yards per carry with a long run of 13 yards (has not lost any yards)Devoe Torrence has 9 carries for 46 yards (minus 7 yards in loss's, for a total of 39 yards) he has an average of 4.3 yards per carry with a long run of 31 yards.Patrick Nicely has 3 carries for 25 yards (minus 7 yards in loss's, for a total of 18 yards) he has an average of 6.0 yards per carry with a long run of 16 yards.If we go by the stats, Torrence is one of the best rushers we have on the team, but yet he doesnt play.
