FINALLY! I was wondering if anyone else was getting sick and tired of this idiot with ten names!

I say sometime tomorrow Hipsher gets the axe. Very unfortunate!

How many of you were at the buffalo game? It was utterly dismal! This had to be the worst college atmosphere I have seen yet from a zips game. The small group of buffalo students were louder than zips fans. We tried to start chants in the band section, but it turned out to be a wasted effort. I wish we could experience half the excitement that is going on in buffalo. It sounds like they are doing in Buffalo what Duke fans do before a Duke game. Come on now! Even Buffalo has a winning team now, and we are still trying to figure out how to win a first round tournament game. Thanks for the great memories Hipsher!

Well, the zips are choking again and I mean they are crumbling! UNBELIEVABLE!!! They get my hopes up and then they keep bringing them down just as fast. They cannot stop Marving Black. We always get burned by opposing star players. It startles me how they cannot capitalize on big wins. Hipsher's days are now numbered. I was trying to stay positive, but Hipsher proves once again that he cannot coach a winner. If we don't get that home game, we're done based on how they are playing right now. Its time for change.

Neither are in the band, but we have a great group of students that drive opposing teams and coaches nuts!

If we do not make an impact in this tournament, there is no doubt in my mind that Hipsher will be outta here. That Can't State game means nothing if we cannot capitalize on it. We are in a position to earn ourselves a home game after a very trying season. I say we get behind Hipsher this last time. We'll see how much he wants to keep his job. If we lose to Marshall, however, you won't have to worry. It will be over for Hipsher.

If this kid is THAT good, then wouldn't he opt to go for a larger school like OSU, Michigan, etc? I'd say we would have a chance against other MAC schools though.

We have an important game on Wednesday. We are about to play a team that we are competing with for the 8th seed and a first round home game, and we are playing them on their court. With the way the zips have played on the road this year, I'm worried about this game. If we pull this off, we are looking at a home game plus an improved chance of making it to Cleveland. I'm hoping that Joyce keeps up his solid play. I noticed at the Can't game how difficult it was to get any penetration. Our guards did a great job in keeping the Can't defense in check on the perimeter. Collins also did well in breaking up plays for the flushes. He is coming along really well. Wood/Travis/Futch were able to keep Edwards under control. I think they really stepped up their play defensively. They had a lot of competition with the boards as Can't seemed like a quick Miami team with greater size. With that said, we should be able to go into Huntington and get a W. There is no reason why this team is where they are at. Right now, I would be happy if we can make one game at the Gund.

I can't wait to see what a years worth of recruiting will bring us! This is going to be interesting. IN JD WE TRUST!

I'm not too concerned about Can't State "coming on the map." I read the comments from Laing, and it looks like they are going internal. Can't State has zero vision for football success, which I am not going to complain about. I hope we pound them to the ground year in and year out so we never have to endure what we just did this last season(losing to a crappy Can't team game one and hurting our season out of the gate). Our practice facilities are going to make Can't's look DIII, and keep this in mind; Akron is not done improving its football program or its basketball program for that matter. We are probably getting a stadium that will be well worth the wait. I bet it will match all the new glass buildings that are being constructed on campus, since there seems to be a common architectural theme. This facility will blow Dix away and will give the football program its own offices and coaches headquarters. I'm sure this was a topic brought up during the interview process. We only got Brookhart because our administration showed a committment to football success. I'm sure there were people who wondered why he would come to Akron. With the timing and Kents overall football outlook, they won't get somebody that good. You see, we are committing big $$. They are not, and it will show.

Ya baby! Bring those flushes back to reality! This comes to show that Can't is capable of being upset. The only bad thing about this game is Can't will be one angry basketball team coming into the JAR. If the players keep their heads on straight, we can pull the upset. The flushes never seem to play to their potential against Akron.

I am just frustrated over a disappointing hoops season as well as a disappointing football season. I'm sick of getting let down by underachieving teams, so I'm trying to assume the worst case of a season. Maybe they will be the big suprise MAC; who knows? There are a lot of unknowns right now. We will probably have a better idea once spring ball starts.

I think a lot of Frye's success will depend on how the team fares next year. He did not get the attention he deserved because his team did not know how to win big games. With this new staff, I'm not sure how things will go on the field. Charlie is losing three great receivers to graduation and also needs to learn a new offense. I'm not expecting great things next year with the tougher schedule we have. Miami, Northern Illinois, Marshall, and Virginia are guaranteed losses. UCF, Penn State, and Can't State (if Cribbs is back) will all be tough ones. It will be interesting to see what happens anyway. Charlie will be in the NFL regardless, but it all depends on where he is drafted. We have to earn respect before we can get it. I'm not going to get myself excited over next year because we have been disappointed too many times. I will believe it when I see it.

Would Pitt come to the bowl?

I hope Hipsher has one more win in him. As bad as our team has gotten, they are still capable of delivering an upset. They just have not been consistent. Tarver and Hollingsworth will probably be back, and we should have our full squad available for this game. We will need a big turnout from the students so we can give the zips a home court advantage. There will be a ton of Can't fans, and we need all the help we can get. The Miami game was the best, and I truly believe we would not have won that game without the intensity that crowd gave the team. Come on Zips! Beat those flushes!

Can't State is in the middle of another fantastic run, but it is hard for zip fans to watch. I know that it is good for the MAC and all, but when is it going to be our turn? This was supposed to be our year for crying out loud. At the beginning of the season, I thought I would be making a trip with the team to the "Big Dance." Instead, Can't will be making the trip! Who would have thought?? I guess this comes to show that the coaching is the real problem here. Can't is and only is where they are because of a good string of coaches in Stan Heath and Jim Christian. If anything, we have more talent with the returning players and a good recruiting class. Also, they are a comparable school to Akron in size, facilities, and fan support, however, Akron is obviously the better school with greater ambition, and there is no reason why we cannot have a winner here. Let me just renew the message on this new board: FIRE HIPSHER!
