Akron has a couple good hotels downtown now if you consider by Luigi's downtown. Demolish the Quake Hotel and build apartments for young professionals. Get people living downtown again.

When I watch eX Game I always think about at what point in the competitors live did they decide to get good at things like flipping around in the air on a snowboard. I think the same thing with this lady. When did she decide to get good at this?

This is fascinating. I live relatively close to Davidson and have gone to a game there. It's a beautiful setting with a really nice mod major arena. He's from the Charlotte area and could really help the program after retirement.

NC State is a graveyard of coaches for any meaningful sport. That pack of rednecks has no idea how to win. The Final Four run last year was a fluke. Once Steve Forbes completes another late season collapse at Wake Forest, they should can him. Wake Forest is a better job than NC State. JG could actually get the support he would need there and have a longer runway to get the team in the condition he would want. The problem JG has is he is a good person. It takes a certain high level of sleaze to win with NIL at the P4 level and I don't think he has it. My money is on him staying.

I don't know what he'll do, but Akron is a great place for him at this point in his life. He has almost 20 years in the Ohio retirement system and needs some years of service to maximize retirement benefits. I've heard, but don't know for sure, this pays an average of your three highest paid years in retirement. His lives in a very good public school system for his kid and one isn't a teenager yet. Most of all, he seems happy and a different job may equate to misery. Staying at Akron is a no brainer.

Dayton is a solid private school, but the pricetag is pretty steep for just solid. Ohio public universities offer very good value for the cost. Kids should be looking at the Ohio public university more than they are. It's a great value. I'd stack UofA up against Dayton any day of the week. I understand demographic, etc. but it seems easy enough to exploit.

They have ruined rivalries like this for years now. Listen carefully everyone. I've said this before but it doesn't seem to be sinking in. The people who run college athletics simply don't care about the in person fan experience. It's almost completely about TV, boozers and degenerate gamblers. As soon as you accept that, you will feel less disappointed when you see leaders do stupid things.

We don't really have a bye week. It's just a lag between Saturday and weeknight games.

Congratulations to Mr. Guthrie on meeting the minimum standard for good job performance. A schedule like this should be the norm, not a pleasant surprise. Imagine not having to play on Tuesday nights. It's shaping up to be a season in which the Zips have meaningful games in November, and they will be playing those game in an empty stadium on the weeknights. Degenerate gamblers around the country with have something to do though. God knows that is what football has become about. MACtion is a piece of insanity the league will need to deal with eventually. I also like not having a bye week and having the season over before Thanksgiving. The players will like that. A peaceful weekend with family is important. If the Zips can't pull off a good season with this schedule, then when?

Relationships with coaches and players have become transactional with nIL and Transfer Portal. Transactional relationships provide the least trust and loyalty. Knowing this, take him back.
