GoZips88
Can someone please explain to me why they sang the CANADIAN national anthem before the game tonight? They sang the US anthem afterwards but Niagara is IN the US for crying out loud. I understand you can spit and hit Canada but still!

ZachTheZip
Zips up 33-31 at the half.Listening to it at the Women's game vs. CSUIt's good that we have the lead at half, considering how we are the decided underdogs in this game. Find an answer for that one guy with half their points, and the Zips could blow this thing open.

Quickzips
Zips just grew up tonight in a big way. Could have folded in the middle of that 2nd half when Niagra had all the momentum. Instead they scrap their way back into the game and pull it off at the end. Wasn't without a cost though as Chris McKnight looks like he suffered a pretty serious wrist injury, Humpty was limping at one time in the 2nd half (but still took control of the team down the stretch) and Tim Carroll injured his hamstring. Could this be a turning point for this team this season? On another note, there is NOONE I want shooting FT's at the end of the game other than Daryl Roberts. The Hip Zip
Huge win tonight !! I'm especially excited about the play of Humpty. The youngster really stepped up tonight in a hostile environment.Looks like we have a point guard and thats where it all starts. This win should be huge for our confidence heading into the Dayton game.Great job guys!!
RowdyZip
Dambrot said in the post game that it was a "possible cracked rib" for CMcKnight. So that could've definitely been worse. This is a big win for the Zips. Now we need a full house for Saturday and a victory over Dayton. It'd be nice to have a couple more wins before heading down to Virginia to face a talented VCU squad. It's tough to see Ronnie out with the injury, but it appears Humpty is really stepping up, I think he scored 16 tonight...can't wait to hear French screaming "Humpty down low to Zeke...he SLAMS it home!" It's something for us to get used to after the last few years being so consistent, but as this season goes on i fully expect to see the consistency to increase and the outstanding performances outnumber the poor ones. This team has a good chance in the MAC especially if they get rebounding under control. They don't need to control the boards completely because of the defensive talent, but they also can't get outrebounded by 20 every game and expect to win (they won the boards tonight, i believe). GO ZIPS!!! Feeling good tonight, beat Dayton Saturday...get a head of steam going through the non-conf sched!

ZippyforPresident
Whew.. Wow what a game. Way to come back and never give up. This team definitely showed some grit tonight. Hope Carroll and C. McKnight didn't sustain too severe of injuries. Now back to the JAR for a big game against the Flyers. I know I'm amped up!Lets go Zips! Quickzips
The greatest thing about tonight was seeing that never give up attitude. This team could have easily cashed it in late in that 2nd half when Niagra was up 9. Especially after their experience in the Legends Class...Sham. They didn't. They clawed their way back into the game, made the plays they needed to when they needed to and got on the bus with a W. This team is still a work in progress by all means, but if these guys can keep that kind of an attitude they will get there sooner than later. I'm not sure how good Niagara is on the boards, but coming less than a week from the EKU disappointment this is definitely encouraging. Dave in Green
Niagra seems to be a pretty fair rebounding team. Buffalo is the only team that badly outrebounded them prior to playing the Zips, and Niagra still won that one. They were only outrebounded by two at Villanova. The Zips outrebounded Niagra 34-32, and had a better free throw percentage, 75% - 57%. That's what it takes to win these kinds of games, and it looks as if the Zips are learning how to do it.
