Road trips to Cinci and Ann Arbor anyone?
Cincy wouldn't be bad. I'd definitely make the trip for that one. Ann Arbor? Don't think I could bring myself to actually have the desire to go to that town... ever...Don't forget Buffalo. I'm sure we'll be making a big student trip for that game.

Is it because you are an Ohio State fan? Have you ever been to Ann Arbor?Trust me. I've been there many times. It's probably my favorite place as far as an urban-type city in which a major University is a big part of the city. Great atmosphere, very old buildings, and plenty of great restaurants, bars, outdoor cafes, and shops. You'll love it. In fact, most Ohio State fans that I know admit that they like making the trip to Ann Arbor for an OSU/Michigan game just as much as going to Cowlumbus. And check out the football stadium while you are there. They just made a major expansion. The place is just unbelievably huge. The soccer schedule looks nice. Playing "name" schools like Indiana, Ohio State, Michigan State, and Penn State at home. Can't complain about that.

More people get to see losses to Appalachian State and Toledo first-hand. Great to hear.
I know. What a shame. It is unbelievable to see what they've done to that place....you have to see it. But, Mr. Rodriguez has a lot of work ahead of him to get them back to national prominence again.

Nice to add Michigan St. this year. I wonder what's keeping Northwestern and Wisconsin from playing us. They're the only two Big Ten schools not on our schedule.
Northwestern should feel obligated to owe us a couple of home games after that debacle last year which helped them advance in the tournament by gaining a home game that they never, ever should have gotten.

Is there something wrong with me being an OSU fan here? Oh wait, I guess there is. God forbid I even mention OSU on this forum or I'll get burned at the stake...
I really feel bad for OSU Fan. Other than ZipsNation, there's really no other outlet for them to talk Buckeye sports. Maybe one day there will be such a web site? OSU Fan can only hope...OSU_R_Bitch.jpg

I'm with you CK. That's the first thing I noticed when I saw this schedule yesterday. It would be great to defeat the Hoosiers in Futbol at Jackson Field on Friday and then defeat them in Football at Summa Field on Saturday.

That night will be a busy one on campus. Hoban & SVSM will be playing in the annual matchup at Infocision that night as well.

2009 Men's Soccer Fall Away-only Schedule - Road trip PlannerSept. 6: Sunday - at TulsaRoad Trip Comment: Too long a trip to head to no-man's land for a single matchSept. 13: Sunday - at CincinnatiRoad Trip Comment: The day after Infocision opens? No chance.Oct. 3: Saturday - at Florida AtlanticRoad Trip Comment: Boca Raton in October...tempting! No Zips football that weekend (bye) too. A shame FAU is so horrible, but watching the Zips win 9-0 might also be fun?.Oct. 7: Wednesday - at Illinois-ChicagoRoad Trip Comment: Mid-week trip to Chicago is a hassle.Oct. 10: Saturday - at Western MichiganRoad Trip Comment: Bells Brewing would be worth the trip by itself. Unfortunately, the Zips play OU @ Infocision that day.Oct. 13: Tuesday - at Virginia TechRoad Trip Comment: Would have been a great trip had the game been on a weekend. Va Tech treated us great when we were there for football several years ago.Oct. 20: Tuesday - at MichiganRoad Trip Comment: Not a bad drive for a mid-week match. But you can't make an "event" out of it. You'd just have to go for the game.Oct. 23: Friday - at BuffaloRoad Trip Comment: AWESOME! Play futbol @ Buffalo on Friday, then head to Syracuse for football on Saturday! THAT, my friends, is the dream college road trip weekend!

Should we be upset that the first game at Infocision will NOT be the Zips? That feels kinda strange to me.

It WILL be the Zips. We're playing Morgan State the week before. I'm not happy about playing them, but it does give an opportunity to have arguably the highest-profile high school football game in the city played on our campus instead of somewhere like Cuyahoga Fall HS stadium.

I'm hoping we have a high school game there every Friday night. Hoban - STVM have been playing at the Rubberbowl for years, as well as other City Series schools. I'm so excited about The Info that I'll probably go watch these high school games just so I can sit in, walk around, and gawk at our beautiful new stadium.

I'm already PUMPED for that weekend...it's gonna be great either way. I imagine quite a few Indiana fans will be around to see the show.

I think that attendance for HS games will be up quite a bit. I can guarantee that a large amount of people didn't go to the games because it meant having to go to the Rubber Bowl. The SVSM-Hoban game could have at least 15,000 people in attendance, with some of them there just for the opportunity to check out the stadium. Remember that UA gets a cut of the gate revenue and all of the concessions for all the games played there.
